Beautifully shot and moving
germanotrillo1 February 2021
This was such a delicate story. Beautiful music and deeply touching acting. Like Michael Haneke, very fine and attentive! Departures is exploring some very interesting themes. The use of color and light, especially in the interior scenes, is amazing. Truly breathtaking performance from the lead actor, and very well shot. Recommended!

Wtf???

Disappointing! Dont understand what did other see, that I Could not apreciare. There happens NOTHING but a woman in bed. Husband by her side, and a music player equipment playing a son. Scene 2: father and daughter criying and huging each other, while looking far away by a fenece. What's the given high score based on? Can anyone tell me?!?

This isn't even a movie. Dont understand what it is, nor what was pretended when qualified so high by viewers in this page.

I Could not believe it was finished, when I was just getting ready for it to begin.

Please help me understanding if there is something I've missed.

Beautiful Love story, superb directing and acting
fabrizialex1 February 2021
The story is touching and moving. A very intense short film with splendorous acting, photography and direction. It's pure, simple and relatable. Valeria Cavalli is graceful and assured in her role as the wife, while Giorgio Colangeli's anguish and longing give extra weight to their love story.
