episode was fine, but Lip made it Great!

Warning: Spoilers
This is what makes Shameless US amazing; a very ironic episode with a dramatic ending that leaves you staring at the black screen with jaws open and feeling broken into small pieces. I don't know that little girl and her narco-prostitute mother very well, but I know Lip... and I kind of feel what he feels. I think the main characters are so used to the problems in their lives that they start pulling other people's problems - the issue magnets. This is what makes them so badass and at the same time have feelings like we all do and feel inside. Thank you!

Fiona???
dekkyca4 October 2018
I really like this serie and I followed it through the years. Fiona was one of my favourite and now I don't like her part at all. Ok, I get it that she must go on with her life and try to succeed, but now she is completely separated from Gallaghers and I seriously hope that her role will be much better than this. I miss true Gallagher moments and what made this serie that much successful.

Do Right, Vote White!

Warning: Spoilers
I see that some viewers are upset with the show's political takes. No matter who you support you have to move past that or you won't be able to enjoy anything from Hollywood the next few years.

On its own merits this episode was a little bit slow-moving, but there was still the powerful Xan moment at the end. Giving us comedy in one scene and emotion in the next is why this show is so strong.

Something does not touch me at the end of the series, but rather infuriates. Could more abruptly throw out the character from the series.

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this show, and I enjoyed this episode . The quality of the show is nowhere near before (when karen and her family where still here) but its still good.

However this episode is obviously made by writers who hate trump (the old writers never got into politics) I am not a American, and I dont really like trump but having the homophobes wear a trump hat, Antifa calling some poor rednecks nazis and making fun of republicans is just not it.

The new writers havent really done a great job making storys, the gay jesus thing is weird, Carl, Frank and Liam are really entertaining. Lip and Debbies stories are OK and I still cant stand Fiona and Ford is kind of boring.

The side charachters are also boring, they trew half of them away at the end of last season and the currents ones (beside Brad) are just not entertaining.

The good sides of this episodes are Terry being back and I still found most of it entertaining.

This season is not good

Warning: Spoilers
I have been a huge fan a Shameless since it's release. I wait months anticipating the adventures with the Ghallagers. I love these characters, the actors, and especially the precise and always focused writing. Not so much this season. This season the characters are making decisions that make no sense. None. Ian is a demigod, Debbie is gay and essentially forgot about her kid, Fiona is getting involved with politics this episode just to combat Frank(?) Why! She has been ignoring Frank since season 6? The writing is also pandering to talk about social issues which is so low, I thought the show was above that and could talk about issues without overtly pandering to them. So gravenly disappointed this season.

I USED to love this show, but now it jumped the political shark :(

Ugh! Why did the writers and directors turn this once great show into a political turd??? Seasons 1 - 8 were SO good and focused on the survival of the Gallaghers. But now, especially with this episode, the studio wants to cram their political agenda, through their characters, down our throats. We get most of Hollywood is liberal left, I'm ok with that. But to turn once great characters into a political message is just sad and so not artistic at all. It's just selling out.

Can't watch this anymore

Loved the series, but it's just got ridiculous. Antifa, "class traitors", clumsy political pandering... 8 good years go to the trash can just because someone wants to play Karl Marx. Well done, thanks for the previous 8 seasons and good bye.

Borderline unwatchable.
haktaro-331-37955015 March 2019
Can the season get even more cartoonishly political. It it so amateurishly onesided and preachy. It is very poor quality. Borderline unwatchable. Especially for long-tile fans of the show and the characters.

The End
dk7777 May 2021
This is the definitive end of the show for me. Another series that went in a predictable direction.

The series was fun and interesting, with complex characters and a good cast, and it became so tedious and boring that it just doesn't make sense to watch it anymore.

The series had a chance to become one of those legendary series that will be debated for decades, and this way, unfortunately, it turned out to be just another disappointment.

Looking back on series like this, one will only be able to argue about how the writers ruined it and made it unwatchable.

Really a shame, because the show had so much potential and could have evolved into one of the best series, and instead went in the predictable direction. It simply stopped being fun and became exhausting.

The cast is great, too bad the show didn't have equally good writers. Watching this series was a complete waste of time.

Another show that the writers managed to destroy.

Big letdown
supermaggie15 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely loved and admired this show because it had courage. It is one of the few shows that is/was not afraid to face and address problems even if it is not politically correct. Therefore I was very disappointed, that this - unfortunately exceptionally - brave show also succumbed to defaming, scapegoating, blaming others / Europeans. Germans are not nearly as violent and war-prone like Hollywood makes them look to make Americans look better in comparison, but Germans are clearly one thing: They (painfully) precisely face and look at their own mistakes and try everything to change a wrong behavior (and leave the blame for other nations' mistakes to the other nations hoping (in vain) that everybody takes responsibility for and care of their own mistakes, e.g. the war crimes committed by the allies). And I can assure you that no Homosexuals are setting churches on fire in Germany since they can and have fought successfully for their rights with legal means and there are no conversion camps in Germany either, never have been. And I also want to repeat once again, that Nazis are not a synonym for racists but a phenomenon of the last millenium and inseperably linked to a political movement in a hard time. The National Socialists (hence the name) were members of a political party, not US American rednecks/supremacists with no political affiliation to this party, and while the episode is also about Fiona almost betraying her people, it was mainly German working class who out of need for jobs etc. voted for the National Socialists since they were the ones promising and providing jobs and food, therefore there were reasons that are in accordance of the heroes of this show, but why bother looking at the truth when you can spread hate with inaccuracies and lies... With Shameless being on its last legs after one actor after the next leaving, it is especially sad to see the show deteriorating in the end.

Might be the worst season of any tv series ever created.
carlos-tenias29 December 2020
This might be the worst episode of the series. This whole season is just trashing everyone who isn't a bernie voter lol. I am by no means a republican but this is just too far. The worst!
