Allegations of Election Interference!
lavatch12 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The persona non grata of the title of this episode is the United States of America. President Reyes takes to the air waves to allege American interference in the democratic process in Venezuela of a duly elected president !!!

Finally, Dr. Jack is getting close to identify who ordered the murder of Senator Jimmy Moreno. After Jack and Jim are hustled out of Monica Herrera's law office, they suspect that she was the intermediary who paid Schenkel to kill Sen. Moreno. The area of suspicion is that the ringleader is none other that President Reyes.

Gloria continues her campaign believing that in a democracy, President Reyes will hand over the keys to the Miraflores palace in a peaceful transfer of power. But behind the scenes, the American embassy is being evacuated with Ambassador Lisa Calabrese boarding a flight out of Caracas.

The Big Three (Dr. Jack, Mike November, and Jim Greer) decide to remain behind to try to bring to closure the truth about the death of the senator and to rescue the American operatives in the jungle. Unknown to them until it is too late, Mattice has been killed, and photographs of him will be splashed over Venezuelan television sets.

With images of Uncle Sam being burned in effigy, the American embassy compound is stormed. Dr. Jack and Mike November make escape to safety. But, Jim Greer, struggling with his ailing ticker, is apprehended. The hunter has become the hunter!

Proud to be an American!!!

Thrill ride.

4 out of 5 stars.

Another exciting episode which follows the story of Jack dealing with the corruption politically while a paramilitary group are trying to save their own. Action packed. Thrilling. And a good direction.

Entertaining but shallow
ikanboy3 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
As usual in these shows one has to suspend disbelief, but the RUFKM moments pile too high too quick for me to relax and enjoy. No character is complex or explored in any depth. Rapaci is wasted...again. She is an actor in search of a good script. Jingoism rules. We good, they bad! They miss the opportunity to inform the public of Venezuela's struggle, and they end up dumbing it down. The idea of a free election is absurd, Maduro would and has fixed it. No Senator is so powerful that he needs to be assassinated; why bother with rare minerals when the government can't make do with vast oil and Gold reserves? Geez Wendell get a new heart valve. I did.:)

Filler episode
Leofwine_draca23 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What I call a 'filler' episode. Nothing hugely exciting going on, just the usual mix of background politics with character work. Ryan himself feels largely weak and a conduit for the story although Greer is more interesting.

It's all getting a bit ropey...

Warning: Spoilers
Are we expected to believe that the boatman who they made such a song and dance over being the best around goes on a mission where he literally has one job to do but then leaves the boat at the very first sign of trouble to make his way inland for some wierd reason, then can't make it back to the boat he wasn't supposed to leave. Gets left behind, is so relaxed that he can find time to lay down in the jungle for 40 winks, gets his gun and tracker stolen while asleep by a little kid, team returns to rescue him and team leader dies..... Nooo, it's all too much.

Episode 206
bobcobb30126 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is hard to make action in the jungle and toppling a corrupt government boring, but Jack Ryan is doing that this season. This season is just the definition of mediocre episode after episode.

Sad
salttoearth13 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Why would y'all kill Matisse? He was an awesome part of the show and the chemistry between ham green and Jack. It was priceless. I mean actually look forward to them working together every time that was a stupid stupid move. It's sad when they take out people of a show that makes a show even better and that's what y'all did by doing that cause he went in there and he kicked ass and people wanna see that and it made the show good like Jack kicks butt but you didn't do that. Y'all should not have killed that soldier. That was stupid. Someone needs to bring him back some kind of way. Let them be held hostage and we think he's dead. I mean this is bull crap.

Who's the military advisor?!?
irishmonster16 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is action packed, but the writing, especially that which has anything to do with the operatives in the jungle, is completely unbelievable. From Uber failing to follow orders once again, to the actions of the rest of the team, show that no actual SFO was consulted during the writing of this episode.

Drop The Gun , A$$H&*e !!
wandernn1-81-68327430 July 2020
Okay so this episode we're back in Venezuela. Bright Boy James Bond and Admiral Greer are on the Case!

Oh and UBER is still stuck in the woods. I keep forgetting about him because I really don't see his story arc being relevant.

-1 Star for UBER

The poor guys sent out to retrieve UBER get themselves ambushed kinda like the guys did in Clear and Present. Except this time nobody on the other side can shoot. They are like Stormtroopers, their blaster fire just hits everything but the target. And then it's UBER!!!! TO THE RESCUE!!!!! And suddenly, there's no more bad guys paying attention. Who writes this crap???

-1 STAR for CRAP!

Haha . President Reyes 'invites' James Bond and Admiral Greer to lunch at his private polo field. This is what Presidents of countries do, they fraternize with visiting foreign agents all the time!

+1 Star, for Matice out of respect.

And then Greer. Everything bad has to happen to Greer doesn't it? Leave the Poor Guy alone he has a heart problem!!!!

This one , another 4/10

Seriously?
Dogtagz3 November 2019
First season was decent. This season is a joke. No one with any military experience is writing this series. It's just a sad joke

Nope
charles-purvis13 November 2019
This season is terribly weak so far. There's nothing here that is remotely what we've come to expect from either a Tom Clancy story or a Jack Ryan story.

Lousy tradecraft, poor portrayal of military practice, discipline, or behavior.

Unsubscribe.

Jungle mess

Warning: Spoilers
Matice has 5 rounds in his Glock 19? It would be unlikely that he would sacrifice himself and then his team would let his body get taken. The season looked promising.

Badly written
smartU217 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have really enjoyed this series...both the first season and the second season. Truth be told, I have watched both seasons, twice, and I am looking forward to the third season (fingers crossed.) Unfortunately, this particular season irked me - and even more so the second time because I knew that it was coming and, therefore, perhaps, had more critical ability. The scene where Matice is killed. Argh. First of all, it does not help that he was a really great character and John Hoogenakker did a fine job portraying him. But, his last scene, alive, was irksome because it was completely unbelievable and written just for the sake of bang-bang-shoot-'em-up drama. The character, Matice, was a father. There is absolutely no way that this character would have had both his hands up, unarmed, with half a dozen guns pointed at him - and not shooting at him - and then turn around and smile and say "F you!" in some cavalier manner like he was ready to accept death. A father of a young son would've bit his tongue with the enemy. Better writers would have had him taken into the government with charges and used his American status as a means to excite the current president's agenda and somehow allowed the character to be saved and continued on in the series. Perhaps, the actor wanted to leave the series but, again, it could have/should have been done in a more believable manner. For example, once home, he decides just to drop that line of work and live to see his son become a young man. Waaaay more plausible. Gave the series a 10 but this episode...

Unrealistic.
tomfarrell20049 April 2022
I've always enjoyed Tom Clancy's stories because they're always full of action. The premise of the stories in this TV series are interesting, the whole series is filled with unrealistic and unbelievable inaccuracies. The Navy Seals and "Uber" acted completely silly in their combat actions. During the Vietnam War I was member of Marine Corps Force Recon, and if I would have done what they did in the jungle, I would have been dead in a matter of days, instead I lasted a full 13 months tour over there.

NOT happy with this episode
rodney_h21 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I have enjoyed the Jack Ryan series season one and most of season two (so far) but man, I really hated this episode. Last week's episode wasn't very stellar but this week was just crappola. WHY did the writers have to kill off Matice? Seriously, he was my most favorite character in the entire series. Now he's gone. So, I guess I'll stick around and see what's next but I'm not very hopeful with this being the final episode containing my favorite character of the series. Good job John Hoogenakker! I Hope to see you in more and more exciting action films in the future. You did a GREAT job in this one.

First season was OK depicting how rotten the USA acts on foreign affairs. Now this season the whole absurd about Venezuela makes me wanna puke. 1 is still a too high note.
