This was by far the best episode of the series (and not just because it was the 'last') even with its weak ending. This had humor, emotion (not just emotional turmoil like the rest of the episodes) - it got to a part where I felt a tear coming on...it never came but I felt it could have. Didn't feel that sort of emotion during any of the other episodes. It left open stories for an additional season. Damaino being pressured into working for Feoré because of the outcome with Saverio. Fabio coming out to his father. Damaino's step-mother having an affair with one of the students at the school (she's the track coach.) Plenty for a second season.
I don't get the controversy. Those up in arms against this show obviously never seen the show. The show didn't promote sex trafficking. It had someone mention the topic at a formal dinner with Damaino's father but it was fleeting, and the two main girls were optioned by Sevario as him being a pimp to them but it didn't seem they were down for that and he died so that's out as a plotline; unless Feoré is to be used but the character wasn't for that and was vocal on the fact - so, those against this show because of the topic obviously never saw the show. I read an article in the news about Netflix being scum and prompted me to watch it to see if they were. They're not scum, at least not on this subject.
