Come on Eli Roth! Just adapt this into a feature!

From the twisted mind of Eli Roth, shot in the style of holiday-themed slasher films. The only faux-trailer in Grindhouse that deserved to be a feature film.

Still dreaming about it.

I really wish this was a full length feature... Everything that made slasher subgenre great is there.

Gore, silly humour, profanity, nudity, bad lines... I still hope that, someday, that movie comes out.

It would be really interesting as a movie. I loved the make-up effects!

If this was an actual trailer, I'd probably not watch the real movie

Warning: Spoilers
What we have here is "Thanksgiving", a 3-minute fake trailer from 2007, so already over 10 years old that was directed and co-written by Eli Roth hat is probably still known to most for his performances in Tarantino movies. Anyway, he is also a prolific filmmaker himself I think and here we have a little fun work from him. There was probably nnever a plan to make an actual Halloween movie, just combine a few very retro-looking snippets into this one we have here. There was a lot of blood, some severed body parts, well more than some, some sexual references like the acrobat girl that the guy is drooling over and so on. For 3 minutes it is okay you could say. The narrator is also not doing a bad job by any means. But still, apart from the tolerable comedy factor here (and the violence that will shock a few), there is very little, not to say nothing, to this short movie. It is a close call, but as a whole I would not recommend checking it out. Maybe the parody aspect hurts it more than you'd think because it feels like there ie very little real creativity involved here. I say watch something else instead.
