That's a tough one to sell, or in my case to write about it. Sir Elton John performs the heartbreaking and melancholic ballad "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word", singing and playing the piano. In video terms, there's isn't much to be seen except that Mr. John reveals to be a spectacular artist in terms of conveying emotions, and translating what really goes inside his heart while his desperate cries coming from Bernie Taupin's lyrics invade our souls asking us about what he needs to do in order to get our sympathy, our love and our attention. There's a special effect screen at the background towards the ending, multiplying Elton's face in three parts, quite campy and ruins the video for a while.
Well, since there isn't much to keep on rambling about it, in all honesty, watch the clip for the song, the music, the melody, the lyrics (it cuts like knife) and to enjoy Elton's presence - strangely chamaleonic here, almost balding and very different than he appears in other music videos and concerts.
It's one of the dinosaurs from the video era way before MTV or VH1, so don't be too demanding on it. It's just fine. 8/10
