The piano solo Lucifer is playing just before Father Kinley arrives is an original creation from one of the composers for Lucifer, according to Music Supervisor Justin Kamps.
The scrapbook article piece on Marcus Pierce's death clipped by Father Kinley wrote:
"Police officer is killed
"Los Angeles - An autopsy on Officer LT. Pearce Foles found that He'd been stabbed to death, according to the San Bernardino Police Department Lt. Pearce was found dead in an old Warehouse building. When officers arrived, LT Pearce, was found with a chest wound on the body. No weapon was found on the scene. The case was left as a cold case due to the lack of supporting evidence. Several criminals were found dead in the in the warehouse, no links were traced to this crime scene." Because Lucifer first disabled the henchmen and then killed Pierce and later says Pierce is the first human he has ever killed, the implication is either that someone else came along and finished off the henchmen.
The cabin used is the same building used for Merlotte's Bar & Grill in True Blood (2008) and the Rammer Jammer in Hart of Dixie (2011). It is located in the Warner Brothers jungle lot.
While the show's title is said by Lucifer, his actual line is, "Someone's been reading Dante's Inferno."
Among the stomach contents Ella mentions is "cacao." If the seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree are roasted they become cocoa and chocolate. Unroasted, the seeds remain cacao. By 2019, the purported health benefits of cacao over cocoa was an overhyped fad.
