So relevant today.
viazzaniromano3 January 2021
Fascinating documentary about the reunion of the cast and crew of the stage production which toured UK youth clubs in 1982. In those days the NF and the BNP were recruiting young skinheads outside schools. This production took the reality of what was happening straight to those tough-looking, but ultimately vulnerable, young men and women. The overall experience was positive for all but was not without its darker moments, some of which are retold by the cast regarding what they bravely endured, particularly the sole black actor. What strikes one is that for years we were under the illusion that this part of our history was for the most part behind us but lately the rise in nationalism in the UK and around the globe means that this documentary is all the more relevant today as clearly the prejudice persists.
