So it begins with an expedition to a secret chamber of King Cyrus´s treasure but what they don´t know is that inside there is the tomb of the lord of wishes.

This is one genie you wouldn't find in a Walt Disney movie, that´s for sure.

He has snake eyes, and for most of the movie when is power is in full display purple face.

The titular evil character is certainly a villain of the latter Freddy films, taking his time to mess with his victims, rather than kill them outright.

The wishes are a very original way of creating scary scenes so I feel this movie is unique in the horror genre.

A solid low budget horror flick.

Liked the possessions too.

It is a very interesting approach to the tale of the djinn and the genie stories that we know. I like how the djinn in the movie is an evil creature bent on causing havoc and harvesting souls.

Nice hommage to the wishmaster when he says he has to prepare the world for his son the (wishmaster) i really dig that.

The lord of wishes is a really great character and as we see in the movie after the credits he will be back.

So i hope that this can have good sales so we can have another, the girls in this movie are so beautiful, i was in heaven.

Pratical effects and cgi are top notch here, the prologues are crazy and twisted love that too.

Characters have a good story arc and development.

The only thing it lacked was more depth to the other reality of the djinn brotheres, i hope to see more of that if they make a sequel.

My rating lands on 8 out of 10 stars.

The story is very well written, and finally we have insight into the myth of the Djinn creatures, we can see here the research they had to do to make this, it has one of greatest beginnings i ever saw in an horror movie.

The villain is one for the ages, i think he is here to stay, don´t wish that he be gone, because i loved the guy, loved the fact that he was messing with the girls, checking them out, that was really fun.

He never saw our world before the technology, so he wanders our world looking for the one who open his sleep chamber to fullfull 3 wishes.

On his way he kills a lot of people, but most of them, he uses others to do the dirty work.

He has style and smoothness, his words are always right.

Loved this guy.

The soundtrack is fantastic, the cgi is low budget has expected, but it still has some pratical effects too.

Totally recommended Constantino filmes got a new hit here.

On modern day no one can beat this Djinn.

The sets are awesome, loved the caves and all the scenery on the mountains.

An ancient Djinn is released into modern day and if he can get the person who released him to wish three times, all hell is unleashed.

Wow he was evil. Yes, I'm aware all the horror villains are, but this guy manipulates you into wishing for something in order to kill (and damn) you for it. Though, I do like the creativity and creepy irony in some of the deaths.

There are so many great things here, beginning with the cast !

We got Miguel D. Dias as the boss who wants to convince the director of the movie Rui Constantino who also stars as the leader of the expedition James, to lead an expedition to the mountains of kaf to discover the secret treasure there.

But things go bad when he accidentally opens the seal to the tomb of the lord of wishes, from there, once is out, he releases creatures from hell, he possesses people, he kills a lot of people in the most vicious way, a gory good time to spend on christmas day.

Lots of easter eggs.

The Secret of the Djinn is far.better than i expected.

It's quite a bit more entertaining than I thought it might be.

We have two prologues before entering the full story that leads a group of people to far place in the mountains, from there they must enter a sistem of caves, never explored before to search for the treasure of king Cyrus, what they will find is much more than that, when they break the seal of an ancient Lord of Wishes by the name of Zagan, he gets out and gory deaths begin.

We have a lot of good special effects and some pratical ones too, i liked the evil wisher a lot because we can see the incredible detail within the story that evolves his character, hope to see more of him in the future.

Soundtrack is amazing, story arcs are good, interpretations good, a very good ancient tale of horror on a low budget.

The Djinn is superb and sinister, which is terrific to watch, and the special effects which are imaginative, inventive and clever with little reliance on CGI, which are good.

It tells the story of this Djinn from the times of the median empire is locked in is tomb, only to be released in present day by a bunch of explorers looking for a treasure.

They soon regret it, as the killing starts with the evil wisher making is way to the one who woke him.

And in between we get to see some trolls, and other horrible creatures.

The malevolent Djinn is looking to take over the world granting 3 wishes to the one who woke him.

So you can expect a good time watching this.

I love these kind of movies, and when i discovered that Constantino was making a Djinn movie, i was so eager to see it, and it doesn´t disappoint.

First the Djinn master is a really good character that takes his vicious attacks to the extreme, when he plans what to do with his victim, he toys with them and then kills them.

The story is very simple, and takes a group of explorers to a secret mountain to discover a treasure, but inside lays dorment the Djinn master (i think he has a name but i don´t remember).

When he wakes up he follows the explorers to the city, and starts the killing that will lead him to the one who woke him.

The special effects are ok, i think that if the budget was much more they could have done things differently.

The soundtrack is ok also.

The thing i liked the most was the djinn´s powers, he can take the victims to an alternative reality until he breaks them, or kills them.

And he´s got a feel good vibe.
