When Ahsoka loses control of her speeder at the start, she encounters a Snivvian, a Rodian, an Ithorian and an Aqualish flying other vehicles that are all based on the 1979 Kenner action figures then known as (Blue) Snaggletooth, Greedo, Hammerhead and Walrus Man. They can be spotted again when the girls are trying to catch the runaway droid and most prominently in it's aftermath, as well as during the scene in the Coruscant cafe.
Although originally designed for this installment, Ahsoka's speeder bike went unused when production on the series was stopped, but a repainted version was introduced as Kanan Jarrus' speeder bike, first seen in Idiot's Array (2015).
Ahsoka previously faced a rampaging load-lifter droid on the streets of Corsucant in The Padawan Path (2017).
This four story arc began production in 2012 and, if production on full seasons had continued, it would have been part of season 6. In the original version, Ahsoka befriended a young male mechanic named Nyx Okami. A clip of unfinished animation featuring Okami was shown at the "Ahsoka's Untold Tales" panel at Celebration Europe in 2016. But for the Disney Plus version, Nyx Okami was replaced by two new females, Trace and Rafa Martez.
Although only their cyclops eyes are visible behind their masked faces, Pintu's henchmen are Abyssins, a species first spotted in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
