It's a decent watch.

We learn plenty about Lisa in particular, and most of the main characters. I'm struggling to warm to Lisa, she's the central character, but she's cold, uncaring, a pretty poor parent, and seemingly oblivious to all that's going on around her, she also seems to lack morals, and is willing to lie. However the performance of Morven Christie is terrific, I find her so likeable I'm everything she does, she proves here that she can be diverse.

I'm not hooked, as is so often the case with this type of crime drama, but I am interested in seeing how it unfolds.

More bluster than the sea breeze

Slow and a bit disappointing after a good start. ITV seems to have a knack of stretching out series. A tighter slicker story would be more attention-grabbing but this only seems to happen in shows set down south, stereotyping things north if London as laid back and uneventful. A gripping end to this episode though.
