Another Gravitas Ventures bomb
drjacobgrayson6 February 2022
I confess that whenever I see that it's a Gravitas Ventures film I'm tempted to turn it off. True to form, this is an implausible lowish budget movie that's simply not believable or fast-paced enough to be engaging. The actors take it seriously though so I give props to them for trying.

Unrealistic and Overly Dramatic
vovers17 January 2022
There was a good potential in this plot but the delivery was so unbelievable and manufactured it becomes frustrating to watch. The ending does not come as a surprise but more as a relief from the torture off the writers trying to keep it going. I would mot recommend this to those looking or a thouught provoking indie thriller it's not.

Intriguing But Shallow Psychological Thriller
lavatch15 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
"House of Glass" had an amateur feeling in all aspects of production--acting, scripting, and directing.

The premise of the film was a hostage situation involving two couples who are neighbors. Alex and Ian are having problems because she believes that he talks in his sleep about another woman, while he claims that he has been completely faithful. Becca and Nate are also having marital difficulties, and the problems stem from poor communications.

The key figure in the film is Alex, who manages to tie up Becca and Ian to chairs and torture them with questions. They both deny that they are having an affair. A parallel set of scenes occurs in a psychiatrist's office where a recalcitrant Alex is undergoing therapy.

This dismal drama never achieved a satisfactory conclusion. If anything, the one genuine cheater among the foursome was Alex herself. Everything was strained in this rather lame attempt at a psychological drama. It was never made clear whether or not Ian actually talked in his sleep.

The kind of dialogue to which the film aspired was the biting satire of Edward Albee in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", a film that is still worth seeing for the deep psychological and satirical elements that were missing in "House of Glass."

A nice surprise of a film
stevelivesey671 December 2021
I expected nothing from this movie and was pleasantly surprised.

It's obviously filmed on a budget but don't let that put you off. The story and its twisty turney plot will keep you interested throughout and guessing as to what is real and what is imagined.

On Doubt

Warning: Spoilers
An interesting movie made in 2021. A woman suspects that her husband is talking in his sleep at night and that he is cheating on her as a result of these conversations. It even shows a state of paranoia beyond doubt. No one hears the recordings during sleep. So there is nothing to prove. Is the woman sick or did the man really cheat? There is no nudity in the movie. I think the score is lower than it should be. Traceable.

lonely man denied well. Ha. Even I believed.

Is that leading woman deceived? It's the shame of that typeless man, she.

A nice surprise

Honestly, I randomly stumbled upon this movie and didn't expect much from it. Thought it was going to be something cheesy. Turns out I was very wrong. It was suspenseful from start til finish, I loved the turns the movie took, and the unexpected ending shocked me.

Definitely worth the watch!

A visually stunning independent film
alinesferreira1 December 2021
It was a thrilling fun ride! I throughly enjoyed the twists and turns of this film, genuinely a beautiful piece. The story was compelling, the characters were interesting, location was beautiful. Every shot had a purpose which I loved! As an aspiring filmmaker it was inspiring and interesting to watch a movie that was filmed, directed and edited by one man. Such an impressive piece, would watch again! 10/10!

Entertaining with nice twist

Not sure why the user ratings are so low. I enjoyed it. I think they did an awesome job for an independent film on a low budget. It kept me guessing the whole time.
