Following his acting stints in shows like Smallville and Titans, Alan Ritchson gained wider recognition portraying the titular character in Amazon Prime’s action thriller series, Reacher. The series features him as the former U.S. Army military policeman and the actor embodied his character’s formidable strength and towering stature as depicted in Lee Child’s book series.

However, his sudden transformation to embody the character on-screen raised many questions, with many even speculating steroid use. While Ritchson has constantly denied such assertions, a celebrity trainer has argued against his claims, as he disclosed the truth behind the steroid use in the film industry.

Hollywood star Tom Cruise has reportedly reconciled with his former friends, the Beckhams, following an alleged feud. Cruise and the Beckhams reportedly bonded when the celebrity couple decided to move to Los Angeles after David Beckham joined the LA Galaxy squad in 2007. The trio, along with the actor’s ex-wife Katie Holmes, were frequently spotted together.

Over time, their friendship waned, with reports even suggesting that the Top Gun star had not spoken to his former friends for years. However, after he joined the fashion designer’s star-studded 50th birthday bash earlier in April, reports suggest that the actor now seeks to patch things up with his former friends.

Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels is being renewed for Season 2, Variety has learned from sources.
The show, which stars Aldis Hodge as Cross, has yet to debut its first season or even set a premiere date. But according to sources, Amazon was impressed enough with what they have seen from the first season to greenlight the second and begin casting. Jeanine Mason has reportedly already been cast in Season 2.
Reps for Amazon declined to comment.
If “Cross” proves to be popular, it would be the latest successful Amazon series based on a long-running novel character. The company found themselves with a massive hit on their hands courtesy of “Reacher” starring Alan Ritchson, based on the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child. Likewise, Amazon’s longest-running series to date was the cop drama “Bosch,” based on the Harry Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly.

It’s been well over a year since news first broke that Disney was moving forward with “The Princess Diaries 3.” Anne Hathaway can’t reveal any details, but she did assure fans in a recent V magazine interview that development continues on the long-anticipated sequel, and the intention remains to get it off the ground.
“We’re in a good place,” Hathaway said. “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
Hathaway would return as down-to-earth royal Mia Thermopolis in “The Princess Diaries 3.” It appears to be the sequel she is most interested in seeing through, as she doesn’t see a feasible way to bring another one of her popular classics, “The Devil Wears Prada,” back to life.
“Probably not,” Hathaway answered when asked about making a “Prada” sequel. “We all love each other and if somebody could...

Reacher is, without a doubt, one of Amazon’s biggest assets. This action thriller series has been popular for a while now, and we already know that a third season, which will end up adapting Persuader, Lee Child’s seventh book in the thrilling Jack Reacher series, is currently being filmed in Toronto. And while we’re getting hyped up for the premiere, we have received some great set photos that show Alan Ritchson, the main actor in the series, back in action as one of our favorite TV heroes.
A release date for Season 3 has not been given yet, but seeing that the series is still being filmed, we probably won’t see it before late 2024, but a 2025 release date is much more likely, based on the timeline. Now that we have said this, let us see this great set of photos.

In recent years, we've seen more and more news of book-to-film adaptations getting TV remakes. Examples include His Dark Materials, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Interview with the Vampire, Reacher, as well as upcoming high-octane adaptations like Twilight and, of course, Harry Potter.
Some of us see this pop culture phenomenon as a miserable exploitation of once-popular franchises, while others are thrilled by the success of the aforementioned reboots. But what few can argue with is the fact that in 2024, technological capabilities have improved and the series can accommodate much more detail than the movie.
That's why the upcoming Harry Potter show could be a great opportunity for a long-awaited depiction of one of the best moments in the book that was barely touched on in the movie.
New Harry Potter Show Already in the Works
In April 2023, Warner Bros. officially announced that J.K. Rowling's fantasy novels would officially get a new live-action adaptation.

After the end of strikes, agents, managers and producers quickly moved in to assemble high-profile packages to take out in what was expected to be a frothy marketplace following six months of inactivity. But, while there have been a few bidding wars and big sales with a couple of others pending, the level of demand has not been what many anticipated. The biggest casualty of the tight market — packages with A-list stars attached.
“This has been such a head-scratcher,” one agent said about the situation. Agencies are keeping record of all the star packages that went out and failed to draw interest over the past few months despite the level of talent that has included Oscar and Emmy winners and nominees in front or behind the camera, stars of blockbuster movies and iconic TV series and, in a couple of instances, famous IP. The total now exceeds 20.

Guy Ritchie has directed everything from low-budget hits like the crime caper "Snatch" to the $1 billion monster hit that was 2019's live-action "Aladdin" remake. But the director has also been behind some pretty big misfires, most notably 2017's "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword." Ritchie has been on a tear lately though, releasing three movies in theaters over the last 13 months. Unfortunately for the filmmaker and all involved, every single one of those movies has disappointed -- if not outright flopped -- at the box office.
This past weekend saw the release of "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" in theaters in the U.S. Released by Lionsgate, the World War II film took in just $8.9 million, placing fourth on the charts behind "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" ($9.5 million), which was in its fourth weekend. Alan Ritchson is currently raging as one of those actors in Hollywood whom fans just can’t get enough of. And the credit for such acclaim goes to his truly outstanding acting chops, coupled with his absolutely breathtaking physique. But despite this, the 41-year-old actor is yet to get approved by James Gunn to star as Batman in his upcoming version of the DC Universe.

While the worldwide famous franchise about a British charismatic spy is looking for yet another right candidate to bring the famous character back to the screens, the US has already got James Bond’s American version — not officially.
Though Alan Ritchson’s Reacher definitely gives a vibe very different from the one we usually expect from the Bondiana, the actor thinks that his character is some kind of James Bond — and, what’s more, his perfected version.
While talking to Entertainment Weekly recently, the actor revealed that he wouldn’t be very enthusiastic about landing James Bond’s role — and Ritchson has solid reasons for it.
Despite the fact that many British actors dream about getting to portray the famous spy considering it a top moment of their career, Ritchson personally finds the character a bit outdated and thus full of significant flaws feeling like “it's all a little misogynistic...

The trailer for Deadpool & Wolverne’s second trailer was just posted hours ago by Ryan Reynolds. Although this might be the pretty first time that a trailer for a trailer has been released, fans are hardly surprised since it is Reynolds we are talking about. Reacher star Alan Ritchson recently got to star in Guy Ritchie’s spy comedy The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The actor played the role of a real-life Danish soldier Anders Lassen, who was part of the special operatives executive, which was started by Winston Churchill during World War II. The film also starred Henry Cavill and Henry Golding.
Ritchson reportedly had a hand in designing and pitching some of the action sequences in the film. He mentioned how he and his stuntman Ryan Tarran would come up with interesting ideas based on the preparation he had done for the character, and pitch it to Ritchie. The actor specified one risky scene, for which he got his team to film for Ritchie to understand.

Zack Snyder built this gritty realistic superhero world for his version of Dceu. Starting with Man of Steel in 2013, the Watchmen director helmed three successful movies while planning several other dropped projects. One common criticism he received for Batman v Superman was that he did not properly flesh out solo superhero stories before going for an ensemble film. However, Snyder clarified why he chose to do the team-up film.

Director Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is loosely based on a true story. During World War II, Nazi U-boats are slowly cutting off the UK from desperately needed supplies and troops from the United States. As Prime Minister Winston Churchill faces increasing pressure to surrender to Adolf Hitler, he seeks a rather unique solution.
Churchill wants to secretly strike a West African outpost that supplies the Nazi submarines with critical supplies. Cut off their supply chain, and you can end Nazi dominance over the Atlantic Ocean. But to conduct an unauthorized military strike, he needs an unauthorized strike team.
Churchill and his loyal men, Brigadier Gubbins and Ian Fleming, recruit Gus March-Phillips out of prison to lead the strike. The rebellious, uncouth, and possibly mad Gus agrees to the secret mission, provided he can recruit his own team.
He assembles a group of rogues, misfits, and murderers...

Cinematic universes may be on the decline, but Guy Ritchie has just stumbled upon the potential for a fun one with his frequently amusing “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” a light and sloppy World War II caper that reimagines Winston Churchill (Rory Kinnear) as Nick Fury, and a series of rakish, Nazi-killing brutes as his own personal Avengers.
Men on a mission films like “The Guns of the Navarone” might seem to be the more obvious points of reference here, but by the time Churchill is spitting orders at Ian Fleming (“Slow Horses” shitheel Freddie Fox), assigning real-life actress/spy Marjorie Stewart to some “Casablanca” cosplay with a sadistic Nazi commander, and waiting by the phone to hear if his top-secret wrecking crew has managed to sink the German ships that supply Hitler’s fleet of U-boats, saving the world merely seems like the set-up for the bigger and better...

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an impossibly glib, rip-roaring, and exciting action picture. It’s the type of old-fashioned entertainment full of movie stars who get the job done, cracking-wise, and goddamn, they look good doing it. You can’t help but get swept up in the action and think a franchise is born.
It helps to have a cast with this much swashbuckling beefcake, including a Superman, a Reacher, and a G.I. Joe. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a film my wife calls the “Five Hot Guys” movie, with lots of eye candy and bloodshed for everyone involved. In a way, it is the perfect date movie.

There's nobody quite like Guy Ritchie. One of the notable directors who has repeatedly dipped toes in both extremes of the budgetary pool, his unmitigated success with early features like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch" eventually gave way to blockbusters on the level of "Sherlock Holmes" and "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" -- all bearing his unmistakable fingerprints as much as his various mid-budget efforts do, which recently span five total films in the last five years. Though perhaps not considered a household name among the most casual of moviegoers, chances are high that the hardworking Ritchie's brand of rapid-fire editing, roguish characters with snappy dialogue, and oh-so-English humor (humour?) are instantly recognizable on some level, at least.
Yet that's perhaps the same reason why "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," his newest World War II action/comedy loosely based on historical events, feels jarringly at odds...

Henry Cavill is all set to collaborate again with director Guy Ritchie on the historic action film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Based on the real-life special forces team assembled by Winston Churchill, the film has an ensemble cast along with Cavill, including Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, and Carry Elwes.
The action-heavy film has two heavy hitters in the form of Cavill and Ritchson. However, Cavill mentioned that he was glad that the Reacher star took away his burden of doing a lot of action sequences. Cavill mentioned that Ritchson took the bulk of the action sequences while he could concentrate on his acting.

Two years after it premiered, one of our favorite shows of 2022, “The Outer Range” returns this summer (read our review). Something of an unusual but welcome mix of “Yellowstone” family drama and existential “X-Files” sci-fi, “Outer Range” star Josh Brolin as a rancher in Wyoming fighting for his land and his family, who discovers something unfathomable on its outskirts. Brolin also makes his directorial debut with season two’s penultimate episode
The mindbending series also features an outstanding cast including Imogen Poots (“Baltimore”), Lili Taylor (“Manhunt”), Tamara Podemski (“Reservation Dogs”), Lewis Pullman (“Top Gun: Maverick”), Tom Pelphrey (“Ozark”), Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”), Shaun Sipos (“Reacher”), Isabel Arraiza (“The Little Things”), Olive Abercrombie (“The Haunting of Hill House”), and Will Patton (“Horizon: An American Saga”), among others.

Alan Ritchson has branded the James Bond franchise “misogynistic and predictable”.The 41-year-old actor insisted he has no desire to step into the shoes of the suave spy because he already has his fill of action in playing Jack Reacher in the Prime Video programme 'Reacher', which he finds far more fresh and exciting than the iconic movie series. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he said: “It's funny, I kind of feel like ‘Reacher’ is the American James Bond.“And I've never had more fun playing a character. I love those larger-than-life, over-the-top action thrillers and spy movies and the heists that are smart and ahead of the audience. “That's really great, but I feel like Bond, to me personally — people are going to hate me for saying this — I love Bond, but I feel like it's all a little misogynistic and predictable at this point.”Alan explained that...

Alan Ritchson has seen his stocks soar as fans request Amazon to cast the star as B.J. Blazkowicz in a TV adaptation of Wolfenstein. After the actor’s terrific portrayal of retired Major Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s Reacher, it is no wonder that Ritchson is seeing his fans call for him to take on more iconic roles.
Jack Reacher was first played by Tom Cruise in two separate movies before the TV show Reacher was released. But it is safe to say that the fans of the Jack Reacher book series have enamored themselves with Ritchson’s almost textbook-perfect portrayal of the character.
But fan expectations know no limits. Fans now want Ritchson to portray B.J. Blazkowicz, while some others believe he would be perfect as the Doom Slayer.

‘Succession’ has gone out with one final bang: The HBO drama won two Writers Guild of America Awards on Sunday night — the most of any series — for best drama series and also for best drama episode. Creator Jesse Armstrong was on hand in New York to accept the award, while several of the show’s writers were also in LA to accept the honor.
This reps the final major awards show where “Succession” (which ended its run last May) was still eligible. Besides best drama, the show also won the episodic drama prize, for the episode “Living+,” written by Georgia Pritchett and Will Arbery.
The WGA Awards recognized the best of 2023’s television and film via its annual event held this year at the Hollywood Palladium for the West Coast edition and at New York’s Edison Ballroom for the East Coast ceremony.

In a letter to shareholders, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy offered a refreshing dose of clarity regarding the status of Prime Video.
Just how big is Prime Video’s customer base? For years, the only way to answer this question was via speculation, as Amazon has steadfastly refused to make data like subscriber totals or the profitability of its streaming segment public for years. But in a recent letter to Amazon shareholders, company CEO Andy Jassy revealed that Prime Video had 200 million customers, an impressive number but one that comes with an important caveat.
Prime Video’s 200 million subscribers put it behind only Netflix in terms of total customers. Every Amazon Prime subscriber gets access to Prime Video as part of their account. Jassy also suggested that Prime Video isn’t profitable on its own yet. 30-Day Free Trial $8.99+ / month amazon.com

Alan Ritchson is best known for a larger-than-life turn as Jack Reacher on Amazon Prime Video’s record-setting series Reacher. But he’s about to introduce audiences to a man named Anders Lassen on the big-screen courtesy of Guy Ritchie’s latest, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Alan Ritchson is the man of the moment. Success and the spotlight have not come to him overnight. Despite his professional and personal struggles, he never gave up on his dream of becoming a star one day. He might be one of the most in-demand action heroes now but his resilience as an actor is truly commendable.
As a young boy, Ritchson used to perform in school musicals and improv around the cafeteria. His inspiration behind this was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Minds star Jim Carrey. He got the chance to meet his idol once, but things turned out to be a little awry.

Alan Ritchson is a fan-favorite actor and a muscle-packed behemoth getting more popular every day. Ritchson cracked the jackpot to forge his name with Prime Video’s hit show Reacher, and secured several movie projects including Fast X, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and a few more but his goal remained the same— to be the next Batman.

Ripped action stars have been around since the '80s when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone battled it out to see who had the bigger muscles, the most guns, and who could beat up the most bad guys. These days, being in peak physical shape for a role is pretty much the norm. Unfortunately, this has meant many actors feel more pressure than ever to get in the best possible shape, often leading them to follow dodgy and dangerous methods in pursuit of the ideal movie star physique.
For example, it's been reported that Marvel molds actors into superhero shape using a controversial source. Health expert Dr. Todd Schroeder, who was interviewed for the book "MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios," claimed that "fifty to seventy-five percent" of Marvel Cinematic Universe actors take steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), "at least for the short term." Alan told THR, “I owe it to the audience to explore as many of these books as my body will allow, and I owe it to the people that took a shot on me when I was a huge risk for them. They have given me a real career.”
Alan added, “I’m very well taken care of. Amazon especially has really shown their commitment to our future together with our deals and what we have. I’ve got deals with other studios around town that have been very lucrative. But I’ve come to learn that it’s not what matters most. I try to keep my eyes fixed on opportunities to serve others.

Fans of Reacher have reason to celebrate, as Alan Ritchson, the show’s leading actor, alongside Jennifer Salke, the Head of Amazon Studios, have confirmed that the action-packed series has more seasons to come. “I owe it to the audience to explore as many of these books as my body will allow, and I owe it to the people that took a shot on me when I was a huge risk for them,” Ritchson told The Hollywood Reporter. “They have given me a real career.” The widely popular television series is adapted from Lee Child’s extensive 28-book series. Despite only two seasons being released so far, fans can rest assured that as long as Ritchson wants to play Jack Reacher (which seemingly sounds like a long time), the show will continue to get the green light from Amazon Studios. “He’s got movies in the works with us, series ideas.

I'll never forget the day a doctor told me that I had bipolar disorder. Although I was smart and well-versed enough to know, cognitively, that Alex Forrest in "Fatal Attraction" was a problematic example of how a person living with bipolar disorder behaves, I couldn't shake the immediate fear in my soul that this diagnosis meant that I was going to be just like her. Still sexy as hell, obviously, but also the type of person who would stalk a one-night stand, kill their family pet, and pour acid on their car. Fortunately, in the years since my diagnosis, a slew of celebrities have been open about their own diagnoses. Carrie Fisher's memoir "Wishful Drinking" is arguably the highest-profile example, but Mariah Carey, David Harbour, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Linda Hamilton, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and legendary Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson have all spoken candidly about how bipolar disorder impacts their lives.

Allllllrighty Then! Fact: if you were a kid in the nineties, you grew up idolizing Jim Carrey, and probably had the two Ace Ventura movies memorized. Recently, actor Kurt Russell fondly reminisced about taking his son Wyatt to see Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and it looks like another Hollywood tough guy was also a huge fan as a kid. In a surprisingly deep THR profile, Reacher star Alan Ritchson fondly remembers seeing the film as a kid and found Carrey’s performance loosened him up, as he had a deeply devout, religious home life that tended to be austere.

Tattoos are a relatively new obsession for Alan Ritchson. His collection is growing and each piece is thoughtfully selected. There’s a lotus on his wrist to honor his wife of 17 years, Cat. “She’s the flower, I’m undoubtedly the mud,” he says. There are separate tattoos inspired by the couple’s three young boys — a peaceful dove for Calem, an abstract flame for Edan, and a crest with a shield and swords for Amory. There’s a massive skull with a crown on his bicep and another down the way inspired by a Richard Gere remake of the Japanese movie Hachiko about a faithful dog that is meant to symbolize loyalty and devotion.

Alan Ritchson’s role as Jack Reacher in the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher is the second iteration of the popular character. Based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the first cinematic adaptation of the character was played by Tom Cruise in Christopher McQuarrie’s Jack Reacher and its sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
While Cruise’s iteration received mixed responses from the fans, Alan Ritchson’s depiction received better responses, especially for his look. Ritchson’s acting debut was with the role of Aquaman/Arthur Curry on the CW superhero series Smallville. He played numerous other roles in all the years leading up to his breakout role as the titular lead Jack Reacher in Amazon Studios’ series Reacher.
