If the first part captivated you, then this second part smothers, engulfs and totally holds you captive, it is sensational.
In the previous episode you are given a glimpse of life for the brave Jamaican soldiers, the prejudices they faced from the very people they fought to defend. The racism in particular poor Gilbert has to deal with, is literally heartbreaking, but I'm sure a very definite reality.
David Oyelowo is incredible, the scenes are heart wrenching. Everyone plays their part, Ruth Wilson as always is glorious.
It's touching, it's captivating, it's insightful, it's gloriously acted.
An incredible watch that will have you glued. 10/10
