Some good fight scenes and tests of character. LaRusso and Johnny tow the line of good and bad. Decent acting and well developed storyline.

I honestly don't get it. What's not to love about this episode. One of the highlights of the earlier seasons easily. We get some absolute vibes at Miyagi-Do with Demetri joining, Miguel and Tory have some lovely moments together, and you have the whole mall sequence. Also, Hawk being an absolute Cobra Kai jerk here with the stunt be pulled at Miyagi-Do, leading to that brilliant final scene. Not to mention the comedy in this episode. Some of the most underrated comedy in the entire show. Johnny is absolutely hilarious here. Cmon reviewers get it right.

The Johnny Lawrence stuff is still good, but they seem to be letting it drift away. The Miyagi-do stuff feels like watching a Nickelodeon kids show. The mall fight scene made me feel like I was watching iCarly with my daughter.
I have been LOVING this show, but cant help being paranoid about them losing their direction.
