This starts out with a bang, but unfortunately it settles down a bit too much after that. Mel, Macy and Maggie escape an attack on their house and end up in Seattle. After which they wander round a building meeting a couple of characters who are probably going to be important later and have a throwaway encounter with some anonymous villains of the week. And really, that's it.
The closing scenes, which provide a new role for the sisters and a new direction for the series, seemingly shorn of all its supporting cast and mythology, do at least set the stage for the future. But that's the problem: This is all set-up with very little pay-off, so on its own it falls rather flat.
