If you would like to see a good movie about the Munich tragedy I recommend Sword of Gideon. Made in 1986 for HBO it beats this movie hands down. I really cannot believe that Steven Spielberg directed Munich. He is capable of a much better movie. This movie drags. Good set decoration is no substitute for a good show. The film broke twice while we were trying to watch this thing. Turned out that was the best part of the movie. We anticipated this show for weeks as we live in a backwater. It did not open here until January 27, 2006. Glad we went to see it as now we know and don't have to guess, but we were really disappointed. Spielberg should go back and watch Duel and remember why movies are made.

The physical quality of this film is off-putting,( the film makers had to use what they could find) but the overall impact is stunning. The talent involved in telling a simple story of outrageous courage is breathtaking. If action is your genre, stay away, but if you can handle a great story well told find a copy of this film. These people understood drama, life, and the human condition.

Yes I rated the movie awful and I have a pretty strong stomach! Now I know where Airplane really came from. If you want a hoot this is your film. It does have some really neat cars however, if you can stop laughing at the corny dialog and the over acting.
