I have enjoyed this movie since it came out--one of my very favorites. Especially liked the performance of Charles Martin Smith. But I felt the most thought-provoking line from the movie was the one uttered by the wheelchair-bound scientist after the opening of the space vehicle. "We're the Ancients, Mr. Fox." What a concept and what a fact!

I thoroughly enjoyed this TV movie and have watched it every time it's been on. While I feel the movie left large gaps, it made me think about what I didn't know about these two men and made me want to learn more about them and their visions. With the exception of the intensely annoying Mr. Di Maggio (as Balmer), the other actors were, in my humble opinion, wonderful and Mr. Hall was positively spooky as Bill Gates. I must agree with a previous writer who said it should have been made a six-hour mini-series; even then, many things would have been left out by time constraints. I will definitely get and read the book (and other books recommended by comment writers). Thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion and thank you to TNT for a great stepping stone to learning more.

While I agree that the children in this movie are cloying and cutesy-pie and Bridget and Chris run the gamut of emotions from A to B, I think Keanu Reeves gives a calm, introspective performance, certainly better than a lot of his roles before or since. The best actors were the Buddhist monks and those from India. I feel this movie must be seen several times to get the full benefit, and it is a primer course in the Buddhist basics, but it is lovely nonetheless. I have the movie, and the soundtrack on both CD and tape (the most beautiful soundtrack I own). Ryuichi Sakamoto is a musical genius. Thank you for the opportunity to give my opinion.

This was a pleasurable, if fluffy, past-time of a movie. There were guffaws and knee=slaps throughout and enough sight gags to keep all of us in stitches. We thoroughly enjoyed the rubber-faced Brendan Fraser, the computer animatronics and the incredible robotics! Technology in the movies has certainly gone way beyond the cutting edge! Good job.

A wonderful and engrossing movie--I loved every minute. The slowers parts just built up the anticipation for the most gripping scenes. Anyone who had problems enjoying this film obviously couldn't let go and just enjoy the ride. Quit being so anal! Have fun and ponder the possibilities. Watch it again.

I was at a great age in the 70s--my twenties. I wasn't struggling with high school any more and wasn't worrying about children (at least until 1977). We had so much fun. This series will give the 70s the credit the decade deserves--it was always passed over as being fairly inconsequential, except for the Bi-centennial.

Everyone in the cast is great, even, to a certain extent, Tanya Roberts, of whom I was never fond. The younger people play off each other with great timing--you'd think they'd been with each other for years. And the adults are a scream, as well. My husband and I injure ourselves laughing, especially the "rolling background" scenes; maybe it's because we remember it that way! Anyway, although our youngest (age 14) calls us a couple of "dinosaurs", it won't stop us from loving this show. In our opinion, it's the best this new season. Long may it (and the 70s) live!

I really love this movie. Grace Caldwell is the ultimate bad girl, tries to turn her life around, but is crushed in the end. Nothing like the book, A Rage To Live was considered racy for the 60's. Suzanne Pleshette acted her heart out. I've been waiting for years for this to come out on video; in fact, I haven't even seen it on TV for several years.

I've loved this movie since I first saw it on TV as a child. Bonita Granville is the brat to end all brats and does a great job in making you hate her. The adults' confusion and panic make a tense situation but the young girls steal the show. Today, the hinted-at lesbianism of the original play would not be held back at all,but the reworked plot doesn't make the movie less entertaining.
