Burial of the Rats (1995)
Rat Women & such...
The movie was rented by a friend and myself for a bad movie night. I am glad to say that our hopes were quite fulfilled in this regards. Whether it be the execution on the out of tune rate, unclothing of the evil rat women, or strange antics within the movie. The best part of the movie was when a guard had to remove a hat in order to recognize Stoker.
Shadow Builder (1998)
Demon tries to bring apocalypse with potential saint.
Overall the movie seemed to have potential that was never fully expressed. The plot was not typically original, and reminded me heavily of an X-Files episode. In fact I think the same child was cast in that X-Files episode. The part of the assassin priest was an interesting idea, but just did not seem to be fully explored. Most acting and plot details seemed to rather cardboard giving the movie a bland taste in the end. The effects were one of the nice parts of the movie, but were not actually anything new in the business.
La casa 4 (Witchcraft) (1989)
Rosemary's Baby remake on lesser budget
I and a friend rented this movie. We both found the movie soundtrack and production techniques to be lagging. The movie's plot appeared to drag on throughout with little surprise in the ending. We both agreed that the movie could have been compressed into roughly an hour giving it more suspense and moving plot.
