Tieta do Agreste (1996)
A colourful-heartening drama
She's a woman who has been neglected by her family. Making some mistakes in her youth made her leave home and search a new life on her own. Later on, back in the town she was born, she finds the chance of having again her family love and though it seems to be too late, they show her it'll never be. The magic, rhythm and colur of this film is outstanding. Sonia Braga is amazing in this performance and the characters of the story are really appealing. Definitely a must-see movie.
Everyone Says I Love You (1996)
A musical made as satire
This has to be seen by everyone. Definitely one of the best of Allen's films in which the musical genre is shown through a satire. It's worth pointing that the film is full of gentle humour and great performances. Too corny sometimes because of the satire itself but simply an outstanding well-written plot.
Dawson's Creek (1998)
A great teenage show
Basically it's a well-written drama that has good performances and an appealing presentation.
Could this be as successful as 90210? I think even more.
