The Hunt for Red October (1990)
Exhilarating, awesome, powerful soundtrack, great acting...
Despite the technical inaccuracies (what the heck, it's just a movie, not a documentary), this cold-war drama is fast-paced, lead by a fine cast who are believable in their respective roles, especially Sean Connery as Captain Ramis, Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan. Fine supporting roles from Sam Neill and James Earl Jones. A top-notch thriller. Don't miss this ride!
Ghost (1990)
Outstanding. An easy 10!
Bitter-sweet tragic, yet uplifting romantic/comedy/thriller. The pottery-wheel scene makes the entire movie. Outstanding performance by Whoopi Goldberg who almost steals the show!

Buddy (1997)
One of the 10 worst films in history
If there was a scale below 1, it would get a -10, following in the footsteps of Godspell. The acting (if there was such a thing) was atrocious, the plot in shambles. And Rene Russo was sickeningly sweet in her role, enough to make a person retch. Ten thumbs down for a dumb movie. Saving grace: kudos for era costuming.
Jane Eyre (1943)
The best film version of this tale
Orson at his best, a fine cast, good performances. They don't make them like this anymore!
