Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
An Enjoyable Movie
I had a good time watching this movie. The Wonder Woman movies are the best of the DC movies besides the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.
I thought Kristen Wiig did a good job as Cheetah/Barbara Minerva as did Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord (except when his accent would slip).
The movie managed to convey Wonder Woman's positive message.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Too Long
The movie did answer some questions from the theatrical version, but it also lost almost all of the humor and it was way too long. 4 hours is too long for any movie.
It was even darker. It was much more suited for a miniseries on TV. That is how it should have been produced. The theatrical version had its problems, but at least it some fun.
On the Basis of Sex (2018)
Well worth going to see!
This movie was very well done. Good acting and a good story. Please ignore the obviously biased trolls. This is a very good movie.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
The worst movie of the series!!!!
Do not bother to see this movie!!! It is definitely the worst one of the series. The script is terrible and the acting is very bad as well. The worst part of this movie is the love scenes involving Anakin & Amidala. The dialog is laughably bad. There is no chemistry between anyone. They even tried to do some banter between Anakin & Amidala similar to Han Solo & Princess Leia, but it did not work at all. Every character's speech is so formal. It takes all the fun out of the film. The special effects are alright, but it seems like Lucas is just trying to make each alien look more weird than the last. He is making these worse instead of better. Another terrible part is the fight scene between Yoda & Count Dooku. The site of the little alien flipping around Christopher Lee made it look like a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
I know the movie is making tons of money, so Hollywood will consider it a success, but we can only hope that enough people will complain and maybe George Lucas will improve the quality for Episode 3. If not, I will wait until it comes on cable.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Worst horror movie I have ever seen.
I was very disappointed by this movie. I was really looking forward to seeing it because of everything I had heard, but this was a real dud. I was prepared for a low quality picture because of the relatively small expense, but this film was poorly shot even by those standards. It was hard to distinguish details for key elements of the movie. The ending was unintelligible.
The acting was terrible. I couldn't wait until Heather Donahue stopped screaming, which she did through the whole movie.
At least the old Hammer horror films were funny while they were bad. This one is not even worth watching. Don't waste your time.
Batman & Robin (1997)
This is the worst of the Batman movies.
This movie was absolutely horrible. Someone needs to tell the writers, and directors, that it is not the 1960's any longer. Batman is not like the 60's series in the comic books anymore. The character has been radically different since the 1970's. They would improve the series greatly if they concentrated on the detective aspects of the Batman character. I thought the series was getting better after Batman Forever. Batman, the first movie, was alright, not great. Batman Returns was horrible , only slightly better than the latest. Batman Forever at least tried for some character development. Batman & Robin was all flash and dash, and every character was made into a farce. The only good parts were in Wayne Manor when the characters were not in costume. If they can't do any better than this, they should give up.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
Watch this, not the live action movies.
Phantasm puts the live action movies to shame. It depicts Batman as what he is supposed to be, the Darknight Detective. The live action movies leave out the detection and concentrate on the action. This is also one of the best animated movies I have ever seen. The quality of the artwork is amazing.
