The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998)
Another Shakespeare adaptation
I'm back! I said in my comment about THE LION KING that the movie was similar to HAMLET. Well SIMBA'S PRIDE is continuing with the tradition. Let me know if you agree that SIMBA'S PRIDE resembles ROMEO AND JULIET. Except for the fact that the film has a happy ending. In R&J the Capulets hate the Montagues (Juliet being a Capulet and Romeo a Montague). In SIMBA'S PRIDE the Prideland Lions hate the Outland Lions and visa-versa (Kiara from the Pridelands and Kovu from the Outlands). The two main characters fall in love and hide it from their families.
Be happy to hear from ya!
Hercules and Xena - The Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus (1998)
WHAT?!?!?!
Who did the animation for this movie? A Kindergarden class? The background was done in like two colours the entire movie! And the two colours were poorly used as well. I was very disappointed with this film.
The Lion King (1994)
Lion King, similar to Hamlet?
I would like to know if anyone else agrees with me. Is THE LION KING similar to Shakespeare's HAMLET? I think there are many striking resemblances. The major one is that in HAMLET Claudius killed his brother, Hamlet's father, to become king. In THE LION KING Scar kills Mufasa, Simba's father, to become king. Of course that is not the only similarity. If you agree with me, let me know.
