Answers too many questions, but leaves us with more
5 July 2002
I was so glad that this movie answered so many of the questions that Episode gave us. However, it gave us so many more. I thought the acting was a little rocky at times from the young Anakin Skywalker, soon to be Vader, but overall, a great job was done by all.

I loved the Jedi Knights. Mace Windu (Samuel L Jackson) was so awesome!!!! Yay!! Extra points! Can I grow up and be him? Probably not, but if I could go back and grow up to be him I so would. He totally rocked. Yoda was so cool too! Looks can be deceiving. Wars may not make one great but he truly proves he is a Jedi master and great warrior, kudos to everyone on the Jedi council including Master Obi Wan played by Ewan MacGregor.

I can't wait for the next movie.

Natalie Portman was beautiful and charming as Senator Amidala and I thought it was interesting how they had an elected monarch on Naboo.

I even felt sorry for Jar Jar Binks. R2D2 always rocks in these movies!

A triumph of George Lucas. I can't wait of the DVD box set of all 6 movies that will cost way too much that I will buy when they all come out! :)

Great Fun!
11 January 1999
This is a fun movie that is great at Halloween or any other time of year. While it is not the best known of any of the actors in it, it does have Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff, where can you go wrong.

The jokes are a bit predictable but considering this film was made in 1940 it still is fun and even at times scary. Adding a bit of campiness to the classic horror genre of the time. I highly recommend it.

The Best
11 January 1999
A wonderful story of a young woman caught between two worlds, what she wants and what she needs. This has got to be one of the best stories of all time. Ginger Rogers gives an outstanding performance of a young woman from the wrong side of the tracks that stands up to society and makes her way on her own.

It is incredibly forward thinking for the time period and yet it deals with struggles that seem to be timeless.

I give it as many stars as can be given.
