Really funny
17 August 1999
I don't really like KISS at all, but this is a really funny movie. A group of my friends saw it on opening night and my best friend was like, gotta be there an hour early or it'll be sold out. Yeah right, we were almost the only ones in the theater! The film is hysterical! We all liked it. Lex (Andrews) and Trip (DeBellos?) had the kewlest "endings." The only part that wasn't too good was the part with Hawk in the car with the older woman... he could have had a much better "ending." Otherwise it was all quite enjoyable.

Different from the originals, but still a wonderful movie.

It's getting weary reviews, but it is a GREAT movie! It's like already classic. I have to admit that the humor appeals more to younger viewers than episodes 4, 5, and 6. But that's necessarily a bad thing. The special effects are EYE-POPPING and just plain amazing. The computer created characters are quite realistic. The costumes (especially Queen Amidala's), technology, and locations are just beautiful! How can you give this movie a bad review?! It may not measure up to the first three in SOME people's eyes, but in itself it is a terrific movie. My only complaint is that Liam Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn without much emotion. However, that's just a tiny little irk.

A good movie that shoulda worked, but doesn't quite make it through.

I was interested in this movie from the start but had low expectations from the numerous bad reviews. The story itself could have been extremely fascinating to cover. The major problem is that the plot is underdeveloped. It doesn't quite explain how things come to happen. Does anyone know why Steve's brother Allen killed himself? Or what's the deal with that guy pretending to be retarded? Or how Gavin becomes a teacher at the end? The family lives of Rachel and Gavin aren't really explained either. You never see them get into a fight with their parents when it's obvious that they have problems. The romantic relationship between Rachel and Steve isn't believable. The attraction was but how does a relationship sprout under those circumstances?! The story had a lot of potential, but skips scenes that should have been there. It was either seriously (or more clumsily) editted, or it just had more of an idea than a secure plot.

Good, but needs more
17 May 1999
I am a huge SG fan and just had to get the video collection. I was glad to see that it had the American version of the Truly Madly Deeply music video on it (the Australian version which is also the first one, just doesn't compare). It my favorite song and video. I just love the golden tones and the direction. Another really good video it the To the Moon & Back one. The only critque I have about it is that it's so short! It only contains: I Want You, To the Moon & Back, Truly Madly Deeply, Break Me Shake Me, and Tears of Pearls. There are no interviews or live performances, which is disappointing. I hope they come out with another more in depth video.

Pure Crap

I hated this movie, though I absolutely loved the first two. This sequel is totally off track from the original. Many points were changed in the story and descriptions. Also, the Fantastican characters weren't the original ones (even the Auryn and book were different) and ended up looking silly and dumb. In fact, the characters acted liked they looked! It's a movie to avoid AT ALL COSTS!

One of my Favorites
15 March 1999
This movie is one of my favorites, right after its original. An excellent story of the fantasy world with intriguing characters and story elements. As much as I liked it, I must say that it is not as good as the original. There were also some minor changes that I didn't like too much (Falkore's eyes were RED instead of brown) but they didn't interfere with the plot at all. I also wish that the original actor for Atreyu could have reprised his role. Otherwise, I loved it!

Wonderful

This is one of my all time favorites. Wonderfully acted and presented. One of the best movies for kids out there, actually for any age! I have watched this movie sooo many times. It is absolutely great. I would recommend it to anyone. Everything about it is just so creative and imaginative.
