Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005)
Wonderfully original.
This film is wonderfully original and quirky. It is about adults, parents and kids struggling with the difficulties of modern life. All the characters appear lost and confused and life seems to happen to them rather than their taking initiative. All the characters seem to have coincidental connections that propel plot development. The interplay between children and adults is presented in a warm manner without being sentimental. Innocence is neither lost or betrayed. The innocent appear only to be confused by the events happening around them.
This film dares to ask the question: What is the meaning of life? And answers: We don't have the slightest idea.
The Battle of the Sexes (1960)
A wonderful comedy. Peter Seller is very funny.
This film represents classic British humor with wonderful actors. The story is quite modern despite the period setting. I wish the film were available on video. If you enjoy listening to a Scottish accent you will especially enjoy this movie.
The Naked Truth (1957)
Very funny. Very funny.
There are few films (these days) that make you laugh out loud and laugh hilariously. This film is one of them. "Pay my blackmail or I publish in a month" is the magazine publisher's standard line. The characters who react to this blackmail are varied, amusing and unique. We need this film to be available on video.
