Puppet Master II (1990)
Everyone's favorite tiny terrors are back...with a new flame-powered friend!
I love the Puppet Master series. Hell, I was eight years old when I first saw it back in '91, and I've been a Full Moon fan since. I like this sequel, mainly because it introduces one of my favorite characters, the flame-wielding Torch. Its effects, if not low-budget, are decent. Its story is beginning to wear a little thin, because I'm sick to death of a bunch of paranormal investigators checking out the same crap the previous annoying victims did. However, we do see their undead master join the fun. I got really p****d off when they killed off my other favorite character, Tunneler. Hell, he was the coolest one in the movie. So, all in all, its a good sequel. But, if you're a die-hard Puppet fan, I'd definitely recommend Puppet Master III. Here we get a prequel, not a remake (yes that's basically what this movie is).
The Bold and the Beautiful (1987)
One of the best soap operas on television!
The Bold And The Beautiful wins hands down for one of the best soaps in history! Our main characters are Eric, Stephanie, Ridge, Thorne, Brooke, Taylor, Rick, and Amber Forrester. Other include Sally Spectra, Clark and C.J. Garrison, and Macy Alexander. The story is simple, but complicated. Basically, the Forresters and Spectras are rival families, with rival companies (fashion companies), to which one is always trying to outsmart the other. These guys have the biggest families I have ever seen! It's hard to keep track of who's related to who and how they are related. Bottom line, if you're a fan you don't need me to say no more. If you're not, you gotta admit, the have a pretty funky family tree! Hope it never gets canceled!
The Shrunken City (1998)
Basically, for kids.
Hmmm....let's see, this is by director Ted Nicolaou ("Subspecies"), so that gives it a few points. And if you are a fan of the CBS daytime soap-opera "The Bold & The Beautiful", it also stars Agnes Bruckner (who played Bridget Forrester), so that jacks it up a couple more points. Bottom line, if you got kids who love PG-rated sci-fi flicks, or if you're an adult who likes the two above reasons, I'd recommend a look. But otherwise, like my summary said, it's basically a kid's flick.
