Ringmaster (1998)
I loved It!
I liked the movie Ringmaster. I felt it was an honest view of what Springer deals with on a daily business day. I did not feel the characters were anything more than the real, YES REAL PEOPLE, these character were based on. It was not supposed to be funny, It is like Everyman in its moral questioning of what happens in this real world. Just because a character doesn't make you love them or care about them doesn't mean you should turn it off. These characters were not missing a thing from reality, yes people show Springer their assets, yes he is human and yes it is a great film. Hurray for being truthful enough to show America what you see in the mirror.
What Dreams May Come (1998)
AWESOME!
I loved this film and yes Robin Williams carries this film. He and Cuba Gooding Jr. are the best reason to see this film. Like a Shakespearean tragedy this film throws you up and down the emotional ladder. You flop in the wind, land on what you think is solid paint and fly off into never never land again. Yes! Robin Williams of Jumanji is awesome in this romp. Annabella Sciorra was a poor choice, I feel, however, she does a good enough job. It mixes all the Mythos into a spellbinding cinematic adventure.
Wilde (1997)
It Ate Something and then regurgitated it!
I have very few movies I loathed more than this one. Homosexual love at its finest, if you are gay you will love this romp, however, if you were looking for a good view of Wilde's life this is not the film. The film seems to demean the greatness of Wilde making him to be a bore who only screwed. I wonder if his bisexuality would offend the fans of such a racist british view of this genius. The film is well acted by Fry however.
The Ripper (1997)
Unbelievable In Breadth!
I loved this film. I am a lover of british movies and found this one to be unbelievable. I feel the theories about Jack The Ripper are put to rest in this film. I feel the actors were superb and the play it is based on is awesome as well.
