The Wonderful World of Disney: Safety Patrol (1998)
I liked it!
Excellent film making. If any of you have ever read or even seen "To Kill A Mockingbird", you would know that "Scout" is not an uncommon name. The subtleties of this film run deeper than even the film I alluded to earlier. The safety patrol, into which the lad wants so desperately to get into is a metaphor for "the in-crowd". And if you wanted to take it a step further, you could assume the feat of connecting to the safety patrol could be equated to "connecting" with the cute girl in the film. The "Safety" in "Safety Patrol" obviously refers to the boy's mother, from whom he desperately wants to distance himself while at the same time, hang on to the secure touch of a girl his own age. The girl who some call a "whore", is absolutely adorable and deserves more roles in even better films (if there are better film out there). And one more thing: Leslie Neilson, my hat's off to you.
