It's typically bad...
1 April 2002
...but a young Dan Blocker plays a monster here. That makes it just so much more fun. Besides, how could you have a bad Joe Besser; he played the same character through his career and if you are a fan, you'll enjoy him here. If you're not a fan...why look at the Stooges anyway?

I Spy Returns (1994 TV Movie)
10/10
Top reunion show...!
23 February 2002
This film showed us again why Cosby and Culp were the best action team in television history. The plot was simple and fun yet intelligent and timely. The dialog was fun as usual. And, Salli Richardson is worth a 10 by herself.

All things considered...
11 January 2001
While this movie isn't exactly "Hoosiers" or "Pride of the Yankees", it is a pretty good movie, a must see for every girl or boy who has dreams of playing big time college sports. Richard Lewis is at his neurotic/wise guy best.

The Secret 6 (1931)

A pretty good gangster movie...
2 June 2000
This movie is a thinly veiled attempt to portray the life of Al Capone. The violent rise and fall of the gangster, portrayed by Wallace Beery, the taking over of the government of an adjacent small town, the eventual tax problem that Beery's character has...these and other subplots are mirror images of Capone's Chicago. While not as well known today as "The Public Enemy" or "Little Caesar", this movie is definitely worth watching. It also features a very young Clark Gable is a supporting good-guy role and, of all people, Ralph Bellamy as a gangster.

This movie should be called "Birth of a Nation, II"
8 May 2000
Easily, one of the most racist movies ever made. It depicts John Brown and anti-slavery forces as fanatics while slave owners and their like are seen as reasonable men. Truly, this movie is a travesty.

M Squad (1957–1960)
Great series...I loved it when I was a kid.
12 October 1999
If you take a good look at this series, you realize that "Police Squad" is its weird son. If there is a difference between Leslie Neilson's character and Lee Marvin's hard bitten cop, only your funnybone could tell. As such, this series should be seen in a new light..just after an episode of "Police Squad" or a "Naked Gun" movie. But...the best jazz theme song ever.

I Love Lucy (1951–1957)
The most enduring sit-com of all time...
3 July 1999
No one needs to praise "I Love Lucy" anymore...we all know that it is simply the greatest situation comedy of all time. (Greatest show? I would suggest Gunsmoke...the classic of it genre...is at least it's equal.) However, the real star of "I Love Lucy" wasn't the brilliant talent of Miss Ball, but the genius of the still under-praised Desi Arnaz. His innovations in television remain the standard nearly 50 years after the first frame of film was shot.
