A well made film. Giamatti shines.
23 May 2007
Warning: Spoilers
If you are looking for a well made film using both indoor and outdoor settings with good main actors, this might be for you. If you are looking for a moral film honoring God and marriage, forget it. Director Alexander Pane does a great job with scenery and working with the actors in this film. Paul Giamatti is pure genius. His use of facial expression and his ability to blow up out of nowhere is unmatched today. Of course, Hollywood has to bring a lot of sleaze into this film with adultery, foul language, etc...but what do you expect, they can't rely on scriptwriting! This isn't 'Left Behind'. Haden Church and Giamatti act well. The rest, well, they're OK. Madson bores me. She's about as exciting as Streep in The Bridges of Madison County, and has obviously modeled herself after her acting style. Maybe it was the film, but she is very average in this. You actually feel sorry for Paul in this film but not Church. Church has it all and blows it for a week of fun. Giamatti is divorced, sad, his book doesn't fly, he's bored at his job, yep, he needed a vacation. He actually wants to do the right thing but Church brings him into dark despair in this flick. I think what kept this film from getting better scores is it is overall a very dark movie. Nothing leaves you uplifted. Every character seems worse off then when the film began. If you are looking for a pick me up, leave this on the shelf! It does open your eyes to wine tasting and a little bit about wineries. Flamio

It's a P.C. Disney Flick but OK.
22 July 2006
Oh boy, first off, this isn't a drama or a serious movie like some reviewers critique it like. Please, common. Being that it's pretty clean and held my kids attention for almost two hours, it's pretty good. My kids are too young to catch all the wrong things in this picture, and there were many. The plot overall is decent. Kids are really into reading nowadays(believe it or not), so this flick caught their attention. OK, it was hyped up all month too on the Disney channel. Many of the young actors had little experience and really did a nice job. To me, a sign of a good actor is someone who doesn't act like they're trying not to act. Think about it. The Panabaker sisters did a great job. The youngest had a load of work and carried the film. Sawyer played a good witch. I always love high school movies or shows, I guess they bring you back. This is definitely a 9th grader flick though. I'm happy Disney finally kept all the sex, gay, and all the other trash stuff out of this movie. I didn't mind all the Sybil type stuff. The age of the characters was all wrong. The beautiful Mom was way too young for the Dad, and no way was old enough to be the Mom of the older brother. The token black in an all white school. The stupid PETA type stuff wasn't needed. It OK though. flamio

I'm glad I lived
2 March 2006
I'm glad Mcdonald's hasn't killed me yet and I lived long enough to rate this film a 1. This film is so typical of all the European trash made today that tries to survive on cutesy European 40's era wardrobes, sexual immorality, and of course the lesbo or threesome scenes which is SO important these days. NOT! Even flat Charlise in a hot tub couldn't save this film! Oh man, is Penelope Cruz a horrible actress or what? She can't speak English, she looks absolutely dreadful without makeup on (I'm sure that's why Tom dumped her after waking up one morning next to her when he wasn't drunk). OK, she looks pretty good with makeup, but she's no Selma, whom she's riding on her coat tails! The film moves so slowly and drudges through the war and all the boring political and sexual themes, oyvay! It's also VERY left. This film needed a music score or something in the background to wake you up! The only reason I'm giving this film a one is because Charlise is a true whacked-out nut-case that plays a good zombie void of emotion. Also, her constantly changing hair styles should earn the hairdresser an Oscar! Other than that, man, this film is boring! This is like one of those Cannes Film Festival films that all the artsy people leave the theater going "ooh, ahh, the deep subplots", yada yada yada! Flamio

Cleveland
24 May 2005
You might as well make an awful musical about Cleveland, it would stink just as bad! I try to be fair and objective, but to be honest, this film flat out sucked! I'm not gonna go into detail, but the top two characters are lousy. Renee never could act. She always has a depressed face all the time, is as white as an albino, and always acts the SAME WAY Every time. My gosh, watch her in Nurse Betty or anything else, she's awful! Zeta looks like a pig in this flick and hopefully found out that short hair makes her look like a dike. Both of them overact. Basically, you can tell they're acting and force themselves to look away from the camera. Nether one is a good dancer. OK, they did their best, but paying customers should see great dancers who do this for a living. Zeta wouldn't be anywhere unless she married her grandpa husband Mr. Douglas. This is the only way she was getting into Hollywood. Zellwigger looks like she's always about to have a nervous breakdown. Man, what a train wreck! Gere is Gere. Boring, boring, boring. Rob 'pit face' Marshall probably couldn't wait to make this gay musical. Hollywood loves the immorality, songs, and more songs. At least they let 'I'm not a Queen' Latifa go on stage fat and showed that you don't have to be a Zellwiger bone to be a woman. Zeta, she wasn't as fat, but man was she mean and dikey. Yuck. Six awards, yecch! Zell, get some sleep and take a few hits of Siberian Genseng! Don't even waste your time renting this flick, or getting it for free at the library. Flamio, and I'm glad I'm out.

This film rocks!
17 May 2004
Some school movies stink. This is not one of them. Dealing with peer pressure? New to a neighborhood? Getting picked on? Need friends? Dillon, Baldwin and Makepeace rule this film! Refreshing to see different areas of filming outside. I've said all along that more films need to be made outside of a studio. It gives the film more realism. See some Clint Eastwood flicks. He understands this point and just made ex-Mr. Madonna an Oscar in his new film. Friends hanging out by the lake, outside, subway, school, garage, this film has it all. Linderman is a shy, mysterious character that is worth hanging around to see him for who he is, what happened to him and his late brother. This is a great movie, a little far fetched at times, but still great. The main characters are great, the tough guy is great, the supporting actors are great. Enough said. Rent this NOW! A true 10/10. Flamio and I'm out!

Wow! The most thought provoking film of the year!
23 March 2004
Those of you who have read my many reviews over the years know I am very critical, honest, and just don't comment on the obvious. Read on......This film is one of the best films I've seen in years. There's a reason this film has over 59% of the reviewers giving it a 10/10. The acting is great. The story is the best ever (read a Bible). Yes, it is very graphic, and it helped me realize how much Jesus suffered for my sins. I made the mistake of eating a large buttered popcorn through the scourging scene. If you have a weak stomach, not a good move. You know what made me realize how good this film was? It was the fact that after watching it I didn't even think of it as a film ALL in sub-titles.I remember all the actors speaking in English. Holy mackerel Batman!Amazing. Yes, maybe it wasn't 100% accurate. Yes, maybe Gibson's pre-vatican II, catholic church Mary worship junk came out, but all in all, it was great and pretty much in line with scripture. WARNING: This film is graphic, very graphic. DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN. Alright, about all the hype. You're not gonna leave the theater hating Jews. If anything, you'll hate Romans. Yes, in the beginning, the Jewish leaders were a bunch of self-righteous, holier than now snobs, and yes, it was easy to hate them, but common, this was 2,000 years ago. The roman guards, now those guys were scumbags! Some were cruel, mean, without feeling. Some were compassionate. It reminds me of the Nazi guards who befriended some of the Jews during the holocaust so they could live. Not everyone is bad. But, those Jewish Leaders that condemned an innocent man to death, and those brutal guards who laughed and mocked all the way through, oh ya, those dudes apart from repentance are frying good now, with various levels of pain for eternity. We get one chance on this Earth (did you hear that Shirley Mclaine!), make the most of it. SEE THIS FILM. FLAMIO, and I'm out.

"The Passion" of 1983
12 March 2004
I had just become a Christian when this film came out. The reason I bring this up is because I probably would've never heard of it otherwise! If memory serves, this film was shown for two weeks only in limited theaters with virtually NO advertising. This film was WAY ahead of it's time and it took balls to put it out. For that alone, and the fact that somehow they got the gorgeous Morgan Brittany to risk her entire career to appear in it, make me give it a 9/10. Other than that, the film wasn't that memorable, but hey, it's been 21 years, I should see it again. The film lacked a fluid movement. The storyline was very unusual and probably scared Hollywood like The Passion does now. If not for the power of Billy Graham being behind it, it never would've been on screen. Actually, I think God wanted it out there for awhile to reach some people. Maybe it still reaches some today. FLAMIO

Not bad!
3 February 2004
This flick gets a 9/10 from me because it held my attention the whole way(something very few flicks do these days), plus it had some great acting. As with all of my reviews, I'm not gonna bore you with rehashing the movie like most clowns do here on IMDB, you're gonna get the real scoop plain and simple, probably why I'm not working in Hollywood, yet. Kurt Russell did a great job in this lead role as a corrupt alcoholic cop that finally does the right thing and comes clean in the end. His sidekick, Scott Speedman, man, was perfect! I saw him in one of my favorite "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues", episodes(Goodbye Mr. Caine) and he was excellent and I knew good things were in store for him. Have you ever noticed: TV series filmed in Toronto always nab us some good actors here in the U.S. Why, what else have you to do up there, bow to the Queen? Looking at the Falls after a while gets old and it's freakin cold all the time! Plus, you have to wait 10yrs for a heart transplant so you might as well act! Ok, off track, Scott plays a great role opposite Russell who wants to do the right thing, but gets corrupt, then comes clean due to a guilty conscience. Ving(an LA cop captain) acts just like he did in the OJ movie! Common'! Is this all he do?? A powerful bad dude though. That guys gotta hate whitey, he's too convincing! I wanted to see Kurt run over all the looters in the end. That whole Rodney King rioting thing was insane. Beating and killing innocent people because of their color, looting innocent folks, man, talk about savages in the hood! Isn't this why most A.A's were ticked in the first place? So let's do the same bad thing?? A da!!!!!! Steal and it's free....sad, really sad. No convictions, no morals, gee, how many kids out of wedlock? Who's your Daddy? Sad! Those poor kids. I'm surprised it calmed down so fast. Give the L.A. Cops credit for that. Imagine being a cop and going to work everyday after that! Those guys deserve medals for that alone! L.A., you can have it!... Lolita, Kurts wife, did great, plus she's still very easy to look at. A note: Their furniture looked like the 1970's not 1991. Fire the set director. Kurt and Scott would've done well together in a Starsky and Hutch remake. A realistic remake, not a 70's spoof remake...listening Stiller... The main corrupt chief was great, played a true scumbag. I could see the hood shooting him in the picture screen. I really thought though that his level of corruption went well beyond what really happens. Hiring insane lunatic killers to kill and loot for you. Common. I mean, I bet there's some corruption out there, but not to that magnitude. That dude would've been caught for his lifestyle alone. Not on 70g's a year my friend! Check this flick out, I wish it would've gone on longer. It could've ended many different ways. It matched "Blue Chips" too closely in it's ending for my liking. It brings back some memories as well, not great ones, but a part of history we'd like to sometimes forget, but should not. Flamio, and I'm out!

I've seen thousands of movies over the years, many good, many bad, and some that just make me wish I would've just shoveled snow naked instead. This film was the latter. Yes, it was painful to sit through. Very painful. I really had high hopes for this film. I was looking forward to relaxing to a good nature flick that had some excitement as well. One with a good plot. Forget it here! I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting, but nothing. There were tons of opportunities too. But nothing. A few things kept going through my head as I watched this movie: 1) Hollywood losers trying to make a point. 2)Bleeding heart liberal conservationist using this as a vehicle, and 3)Chick flick. Not even just a chick flick, but a chick flick written by a chick! Man, I'm still hurting! I hate it when 4,000 babies are being aborted a day in the USA, and yet I'm supposed to cry over a dead rhino which is far more important in their eyes. Yes, many have missed the point in life, especially you Kim. Ok, Basinger still looks good in her upper 40's, and I applaud her at not using tons of facelifts like most of Hollywood past 40, but that's the only reason this film gets a 1/10 from me! Hello folks, there's a reason this film has been given 68 1/10's! Keep reading...From the get go it was lost. A bunch of rich people living in Italy and none seemed to be Italian. They're loser theatre types out drinking and heading to a bar late at night. Hymph, accurate there at least. An accident and it's time for a change. Let's get married and move to Kenya! Hello!! They go from pampered to no running water or A.C., ya, right! On another note, that lead actors accent, it was enough to make me rip my eardrums out! Ugh, please get it out of my head!!! I don't know what country he was from. Kim (Kuki), or Kooky, which is more accurate, is having a hard time adjusting to rough Africa life, but hangs in there. She worries about her husband going out too much with the boys, and danger...he of course dies. The funeral, and Kim's first painful written speech. Her boy grows up, she tells him not to raise poisonous snakes, he gets bit, he dies. Kims second and even more painful funeral poem/speech. Ugh, thankfully I had some pudding to eat and the fast forward button. Kim's Mom keeps flying in to the funerals. It's Eva Marie Saint, and boy, she hasn't aged well at all. In fact, the dead rhino looked better. Sorry Eva. At one point their jeep gets stuck in the mud (of course after Mom warns her) and she steps out into a puddle and wrecks her new gucci's. Ya, gucci's in wild Africa, oh, I forgot, us idiots had to be reminded they were rich socialites from Italy! Oyvay!!! Kim also informs some local tribal chief of poachers killing the poor Elephants and Rhinos..You have to see this guy, man, what poor typecasting! He reminds me of the black guy from Crocodile Dundee II, all cool and suave. My gosh, he's supposed to be a tribal chief living in a 130 degree hut!!! Plus, he's wearing shades and not sweating!! A black guy not sweating in the African heat, give me a break! I really can't go on, man, this film totally stunk! Period! Not even Kim's shirt falling off from behind could save it. Force the director, the lead actors, the casting agent, and all involved to live there for the rest of their lives! Flamio, and I'm out!

This is truly a classic! Shame on anyone who doesn't give this a ten! Even now as an adult watching this with my three daughters it is still entertaining, romantic, and truly fun! The kids love it and it's 35yrs old! That tells you something. Dick Van does a great job acting, Sally Ann is beautiful and has a gorgeous voice. The kids are charming, the child catcher is scary, and the toymaker is Benny Hill! What more could you ask for??? I'd love to see a behind the scenes version of this film. Take care all! This is a good one to buy. FLAMIO

Well done!
3 February 2003
Massillon Football is legendary here in Ohio. I've reviewed many a films here on IMDB, and for a low budget local film, this blows Hoop Dreams out of the water! Ken Carlson does an excellent job following the team through their season, the locals input, the frenzy, etc...but most of all, he makes non-actors so comfortable in front of a camera it still amazes me! That's right, none of these people were actors and they do a better job than the entire cast of Friends whom you believe are acting. Yep, Jennifer and Lisa could take a few acting lessons from these folks. Anyway, the last 10+ years or so St. Ignatious has ruled Ohio Football, but when I was in school in the 70's and 80's it was Canton Mckinley, Massillon, and Cincinnati Moeller. Period. No city is as nuts as Massillon though. Don't believe me? Watch this documentary! I live in Ohio, I know. I had a party over here a few months ago and a guy from Massillon Perry was over here. He still talked as if he was playing High School football and how much he hated Massillon, and he's an '82 grad! Twenty plus years of seething hatred! Bizarre. You'll see in this film how much the town is into the games. I haven't seen that kind of support for my old school since the 70's. On a side note, has anyone but me noticed how much the head coach of Massillon looks like that evil Indian from "The Last of The Mohicans"? Wow! Good coach. That has to be a stressful job in that city. I'm sure his phone never stops ringing from Alumni, parents, etc. I hope he has an answering machine. I was amazed at the training facilities the team has, a strength coach, equipment, etc. That stuff definitely gets kids ready way more than any local school I've seen! Some quick notes: Coaches, don't pray then use the F-word. You need Jesus not Mary! I could've done w/o the partying seen, which really showed local fools and not players. I don't care about watching some guy puking after drinking a beer bong. That old lady fan is a character. She reminded me a lot of that old woman at the trading post in "The Outlaw Josey Wales". A real nut. I love her old husband just sitting in the corner. You don't even know he's there until the camera pans the room and he answers a question of hers! I love that nerdy kid with the Insane Clown Possy shirt that talks about how he hates the school, the town, and how he's leaving when he's 18. I wonder if he got his butt kicked after people saw this flick? Hey kid; I give you a medal though for courage to get on camera and say that stuff. You should've played ball! I've met ICP fans like you before and you're all the same, so don't think you're being an individual. If this town is a true "Harvest Home" (see the flick if you're clueless), then I'm sure those ignorant hicks voting against the levy got their butts kicked too. A message to people living in Massillon and anyone considering moving there: Massillon is a Football town, and it's small. If you don't like it, move. I love football and wouldn't live there, it's too much. It's not going to change for a long time and you'll be miserable! FLAMIO

Interesting.
3 February 2003
I like the concept of a man getting to know his son and reconciling with his wife, but the rest is a little hard to swallow. Hayden gets skinny and punk, Steenburgen loses weight and gets naked, Kline loses weight for cancer. Man, I would've hated working on that set come break time. "Carrot sticks anyone?" Kline and Hayden do a great job acting though and save this flick. Attention all men reading this: My wife cried watching this flick so it's a grade "A" tearjerker. I like Kline getting fired and smashing all his work, I've always wanted to do that! It was hard to believe though that he wasn't using a computer for Architecture in the post 1990's workforce but building Mike Brady toothpick homes, ya, right. What really stunk was Scott Bakula playing a tiny role as a cop. C'mon! This guy was a stud years ago now he's taking small roles! He must be hurting for money and wanted to diet also. FLAMIO

At first I'll be honest, I thought this would be a Chic-Flick because all the women at work drool over Russell Crowe. But it wasn't at all. It was well researched and quite shocking. I can't tell you why you'll have to see it. I don't care what Denzel did, Crowe deserved the Oscar on this one, big time! FLAMIO 10!

19 August 2002
This flick runs in the vein of Porky's! High school/college age kids creating havoc and immorality, yet they have a sense of some values. Some........This flick was stupid but it was meant to be camp so I understand. I'm giving it an eight because when Stifler got peed on I laughed my %$# off! That kid (Sean William Scott) can act way above his years. Trust me, there's a reason he's been in six flicks since. I truly believe he could be one of the best new actors over the next few years. Hey, I'm an Arnold fan. True, he's not the greatest actor out there, but his flicks draw you in. This one especially. I'm giving it a nine because of three things: Action, a twist at the end, but most of all I didn't fall asleep like most flicks these days. I give Arnold a huge amount of credit for losing mucho bucks and not releasing this after 911 like it was supposed to. Whether I agree or not is not important, what was important was that it was cool to see a man saying screw Hollywood, and sticking to his convictions. Not many men in Hollywood have that power. Saying all that, this flick was far fetched in some areas, but I was glad they skipped huge time periods to get him to the action in a far away country w/o me having to be bored to death watching him get visas and so forth. Centennial (1978–1979)
10/10
Awesome!
19 August 2002
I watched WAY TOO MUCH T.V. in the 70's, but for lucky dogs like you that's cool! Centennial was probably my favorite mini of all of them! It covered generations of a few main families through 200yrs in Colorado, and was narrated awesomely by David Janssen, and had a mystery to boot! I don't have enough space to review this whole series, but here are a few notes: Yes, Robert Conrad and the first few episodes were the best in my opinion, and in the opinions of others on this site. His portrayal of Pasquinel was incredible. A French Canadian coming to America to hunt beaver and start a life here is the American dream! Just ask Arnold if you doubt me! Roots, Shogun (Richard C. was in that one too), and Shaka Zulu also were all excellent mini-series in this vein but Centennial hit home here in America. Not many of us can relate to the other three biggies, but Centennial was U.S. all the way. Other big name actors that did a great job in this were Andy Griffith, Alex Karras (Hans Brumbaugh, man he did a great job for a new actor!), Dennis Weaver, Dan Janssen, Crenna, Carrera, Chamberlain, Kellerman, Keith, Dalton, Vaughn, I could go on forever! A POWER cast indeed! What in the heck was the budget on this thing! Some library's have this, rent it now! Hopefully AMC will show this next year uncut for it's 25th Anniv. and hopefully it will also come out on a DVD set! I'll be the first in line!!! FLAMIO

Thought provoking! Rent, better yet, BUY IT, NOW!!!!!!!
30 January 2002
Wow, a movie that actually made one think! What a concept! I loved this movie. For a Christian production that didn't have billions to spend, this flick was great! Cameron as Buck, Johnson as Rayford, and the fine list of supporting actors did a tremendous job. If you've read the books, which I have all nine, Gordon Currie nailed the role of Nicolae Carpathia square on the head!! WOW!!! I can't wait for a sequel. All nine of these books are easy box office hits. I hope the producers realize that when this movie came out, slouches like me never even read a LEFT BEHIND SERIES book yet, but now the fan base is huge! If your ignorant and reading this, this series is the number one selling series of all time! Did you hear me? ALL TIME!!! Case closed. Get the movie, get a Bible, get saved before you're LEFT BEHIND!!!!!!! FLAMIO

Good Times (1974–1979)
A good show!
28 November 2001
I liked Good Times. Being a white guy from a white city, it was one of my first glimpses into black culture. I liked many things about this show. Most importantly it had a black family that stuck together through thick and thin. The parents loved their children more than anything, were always there for them , and wanted the best for them. J.J. (the eldest brother) was the tall comic relief in this show, and always fought with his sister Thelma (the curvacious beauty). The little brother "Michael" was Mr. Militant black pride. That theme got a little over done at times, but it was the 70's and blacks were still seeking equality. It was actually quite funny> All references in the show had to be "black". For instance: Every book report had to be about black history, every movie had to involve black people, every politition had to be black, the list went on and on. All posters in there rooms were black people, furniture pieces were African. All guests were black people. Man, I can't remember ever seeing a white guy in that show! Common, Chicago wasn't all black! Actually I loved the intro and ending to each show; the painting at the end, the camera sky-views of Chicago, the theme music, the bike rider and citizens. Very cool. What I liked about this show over Sanford and Son was that whites weren't portrayed as idiots, like some stupid attack against shows in the past that put blacks in an Aunt Jemima mode, please! It also dated politics, recession, wages, history. It was great. The best episodes were the first few years with James Evans, the father. He was tough, but loving and kind. He took no bull from any of the kids. He worked hard. He loved his wife. The way he was written out of the show was very abrupt. He was out of town, got hit by a car, and died. This funeral episode was excellent. Ester Rolle was handling the death all well untill the end. As she was putting away dishes from the wake at their house, she saw a flower James had left her and kept working, she finally stopped and smashed a bowl on the kitchen floor as she swore and then broke down in tremendous grief over the loss of her husband. Her children(who were shocked she hadn't grieved in front of others but was laughing) then ran from their rooms and comforted her with a family hug. The show ended. No canned laughter, no music. Great acting. Why did James(John Amos) leave the show? Roots? A movie career? Contract disputes? I don't know. What I do know is that when Janet Jackson, Bookman, and that annoying neighbor Willona; Miss Big Mouth, I'm beautiful, took over, this show was lost forever(but I did like sweet daddy). Aids wiped him out not long ago. The original lineup could've easily gone on a few more years. Thank God for reruns! FLAMIO

Ya, it was a little camp but big deal, so was the show. From seeing the rescue, to seeing what they were doing after being rescued, and to seeing them get shipwrecked again, brought a tear to my heart! A 10 all the way!!!!! Rent It!
17 September 2001
Well, I watched this film hoping for some great Boz action, but only a little showed up. But, with Boz, Shannon, and Worf in it who could lose! I'll give it an 8/10 on those three alone! Boz does a fine job for what he's given and looks more comfortable acting, Shannon melts your bones just looking at her, and Worf (Dorn)is one big dude. Problem with this flick is the music score and the general flow of the picture. But being a Boz fan, it's worth seeing. Some good flight scenes.

Boy, Boz's scar sure looked like Stone Cold's didn't it?? Flamio

Non-stop action!
26 July 2001
Warning: Spoilers
***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** First, don't read this if you haven't seen it. What can I say? JP lll is going to get a 9 or better from me just because I love the series. Actually, it deserves it. A few minutes into the film and it's non-stop action. If you have a date prepare to have your hand crushed from fear if they scare easily! Bringing Sam back for JP lll had me hooked. He's a stud actor and carried the film. Dern makes a small appearance. Open for a JP lV! But how??? Positives: The Spinosaurus is awesome and powerful. Who else could kick a T-Rex's butt??? The Kirbys all acted well. The animation of the birds was great! New dinosaurs..cool! Hang-gliding over the island and fog..oh ya! Sam....period! Dern's curly hair looked great on her. Great non-stop action. Raptors were great as usual. Mystery. A bird cage! Negatives: Too short! Way too short! 92 minutes for $15.00!! Actually less on my watch! C'mon!! Expensive date! This could've gone 2+hrs easily. Why rush it? Dern's marriage to a mystery man? Weak, rapid, stupid ending! T-rex pee..c'mon, do something with that at least! Billy surviving..please! He was bird food! A little blurry on the big screen in my opinion. Unless you have a date and want to be close, see the matinee and save a few bucks, just because it's short...still worth the cash no matter how you dice it! FLAMIO

Awesome!
6 April 2001
Great action flick! Cage plays a mellow family man who defends himself and kills some bar trash that attacks him. Well, it's off to prison and onto the psycho plane full of killers. Garland "The Marietta Mangler" Greene is very funny. Fellow NE Ohioan (yes!) Monica Potter, is gorgeous as Poes wife. (I hope I run into her at the Mall)!!! Great action scenes, nifty fighting moves by Cage, the crazy John M. as the lead creep, man, a Vegas plane crash, this film has it all. Good triumphs by the end. I'm still mystified that Mrs. Poe doesn't fly into the arms of her husband at the end with more passion! What's up with that lousy ending?? The guys been through hell and back and she acts like a distant cousin to him, explain that??? Overall though, a 10!

Great show! It was a great time to be a kid! Neat plots, great action. Awesome futuristic outfits. Buck was always the good guy fighting evil, yet always sad he lost his past. Great guest appearances by Coleman and Shoop. Hot chicks, handsome men, action, comedy, adventure, mystery, it had it all.

Why isn't this show in syndication??? Thumbs up!

Compelling
21 February 2001
This show for some reason was compelling to watch. Anderson and Smithers could be the answer! Anderson was a sophisticated bimbo but Smithers always got you because we all knew that she was a megafox behind those glasses. She was the attainable woman of the working man. The intro song is one of the best in t.v., it was catchy and upbeat.

The scripts weren't that great and they obviously had a low budget to work with as they rarely left the offices. This show was a mystery. I think the show was canceled too early and in a few years there could've been a greater chemistry among the cast. I'm sure Anderson was offered big $$$ to do other stuff and that was that.
