Since You Went Away (1944)
A Must See For Classic Movie Fans
Since You Went Away is a wonderful film that I think really gives you a feel of what is was like for women on the home front during WWII. Everything about this film is beautiful in my opinion from the gorgeous cinematography to the great cast. With a cast which includes Claudette Colbert, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Cotten, and Robert Walker (to name a few) you can't go wrong. Jennifer Jones gives one of her best performances as the young adult who is dealing with the absence of her father and then the loss of her true love. I think this would make a great holiday movie!
Seven Chances (1925)
One of Buster Keaton's best!
Seven Chances is a true testament to the genuis of Buster Keaton. It is a wonderful display of all his talents. The fact that he performed his own stunts makes some of the scenes not only funny but also extraordinary. His unique blend of comedy, timing, and innocence has never come together so well. If you have never before seen one of his films than I highly recommend this one, if you have seen this film then I recommend that you see it again.
