Family Plot (1976)
Hitchcock's flawless final film.
Barbara Harris leads the cast as a phony psychic who is asked to use her "power" to find a man that apparently is dead. If she succeeds in her task she will be payed $10,000. She hauls her twisted actor/cab driver into the deal and asks him to find information on the supposedly dead man. They are led through ups and downs on their mission to find the man. Finally finding out that the man faked his death, changed his name and now is living as a jewel salesman/jewel thief. The climax is typical Hitchcock, awesome ending. And great performances by all performers. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that is in the mood for an action - mystery - comedy.
Pete's Dragon (1977)
GREAT MOVIE NO TALENT
Well, it's a delightful plot, delightful score, and very cute, good for children of all ages... But...Helen Reddy could use a few lessons in acting. She over acted. She can sing...not act. Mickey Rooney, he was a redeeming part of the movie. Red Buttons...i can't stand him!...he is good in some parts he plays...but he was...eeergh!...Jim Backus...i wanted to strangle him!!...Shelly Winters...ruined her movie career...and Sean Marshal (little pete...) 1. barked his way through the songs...and no wonder we never heard of him again in any other movie...he couldn't act. It was family fun with no talent. Of course it was made when disney was at bankrupcy, but still a family classic. I would recommend seeing "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" though.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!
Matt Damon delivers a standout performance...that is oscar worthy. He plays Tom Ripley, a unknown piano player. When a millionaire sends him to Italy to bring back his son, he discovers a friendship with him. Jude Law plays the son. An excellent performance given. Law also lives with his girlfriend Marge...Damon discovers a passion between him and Dickie (Law)...and if I tell you anymore I'll give it away...just see the movie...you'll love it!
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
Excellent, Suspenseful, Scary
A magazine said: "Finally a worthy sequel, that lives up to the original"...well they couldn't be more correct. What an awesome movie. Jamie Lee Curtis is still living in fear about her brother, Michael. Police are sure he's dead but when the murder of Marion Chambers (from Halloween 1 & 2) occurs, terror is let loose. Michael successfully finds his sister, Laurie Strode (teaching at a boarding school) and her son John and his girlfriend Molly...it's a bloody, gorefest, that actually has a cool plot...but all of the Halloweens did. What an excellent movie. Rent it, get popcorn, and turn of the lights...This movie is not worthy to be watched in the daytime. Cast includes...Jamie Lee Curtis (as Laurie Strode), Michelle Williams (as Molly), Josh Hartnett (as John), Jodi-Lyn O'Keefe (as Sarah), Adam Hann Byrd (as Charlie), Adam Arkin (as Will Brennan), and Nancy Stephens (as Marion Chambers).
Friend of the Family II (1996)
Shauna O'Brien and Paul Michael Robinson...
Need I say more. When I saw this movie it was titled "Innocence Betrayed" (it had more nudity than the rated version of "Friend Of The Family II"). Shauna O'Brien has great positions, Paul Michael Robinson has all the right moves. It starts off in a diner where Paul Michael Robinson (a married man) is entertaining a client. Shauna has a fight with her (disgusting [w.o being harsh]) boyfriend. Anyway the boyfriend leaves her with the bill and Robinson says that he'll bring her home and cover the bill. He brings her home...he is about to leave...but she says "would u like coffee?"...well he stays so they have wild jungle sex...the scene is so long and they are so kinky. His manly noises, her flexibility. Anyway...he then has sex a second time the next night where he realizes he's wrong and must return 2 his wife. He goes back to his wife where she gives it 2 him good...she had a better body. Anyway...Robinson's wife's brother (Sid Farley) comes to stay for the summer. Then...Robinson must go back on another business trip. He leaves his wife alone to interview nanny's and guess who she hires??? : Miss Shauna O'Brien. He get's back and is so suprised...He keeps it a secret and one night he sneaks down 2 her room and tells her to get out...but she'll tell his wife, Maddy of his infidelity. Uh-oh...He has to make love to her. Well...Byron (Robinson's brother-in-law) catches Robinson screwing O'Brien and confronts O'Brien about it. She tells Byron how Robinson raped her and forced her to have sex with him. She seduces Byron and those 2 have the best sex I've ever seen in a movie like this. After they have had sex...O'Brien starts to try to kill Maddy and Robinson...she has completely brainwashed Byron so that she is in total control...she seduces Robinson's friend (Jeff Rector)and then won't leave Robinson alone...finally Alex has put up with enough, confesses to Maddy about O'Brien but Byron steps in and says how he raped her...The conclusion is awesome. If you want a good sex movie that is also a good suspense movie then rent this...be sure to get the Unrated version or see it off of HBO or TMC...but Paul Michael Robinson has the best body I have ever seen and also is a great actor...Shauna O'Brien is beautiful but could use a few acting lessons...Jeff Rector is a great lay to O'Brien...and Jenna Bodner (Maddy) has a beautiful body and can act. But the best part of this movie (even though Paul Michael Robinson did have an awesome beefcookie body) was Sid Farley...he has all the right moves in the scene between him and O'Brien and gives it to her so good I'm surprised she didn't leave Robinson alone and find her next obsession with his brother-in-law Byron
Marnie (1964)
AWESOME MOVIE!
Hitchcock is at his best. The scenery and camera techniques are beautiful, impressionistic, and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. Hitch made his most mature works. "Marnie" is considered a sex mystery. Tippi Hedren plays the gorgeous, troubled, Marnie Edgar. She is a compulsive thief. She is a con with 3 identities. She starts out as "Marion Holland", then turns to "Mary Taylor", then turns to "Marnie Edgar". While employed by Mark Rutland (Sean Connery) she grows close to him. When she tries to steal from him...he forces her to marry him or he will turn her into the police. She reluctantly agrees. Marnie has a sexual fragility...we find that out on the third night of the honeymoon where Connery rapes her (which doesn't help her at all). Her fear of colors and storms baffles him...but also her sexual fragility leaves him baffled as well. Mark must find out what's wrong with Marnie before she tortures herself even more. The climax and conclusion are excellent. The music by Bernard Herrmann is beautiful and the most colorful score I have ever heard and Alfred Hitchcock's camera movies are excellent. Marnie is a grade A movie. Rent it...buy it...i don't care...just see the movie. Hedren is "Oscar worthy" and talented in this mature film. This movie was said to be Hitch's failure at the time...today it is one of the best psychological thrillers of the century. It flopped at the box office because of it being a sex mystery. At that time no one would want to see a movie like that. Today it is known as one of Hitch's best. If you like Hitchcock you will also like his movies: "Shadow Of A Doubt" "Torn Curtain" "Rebecca" "Trouble With Harry" "The Birds" "Paradine Case" "Spellbound" "Notorious" "Lifeboat" "Family Plot" "Frenzy" "The Lodger"
