Bloodbath (1975)
7/10
Early Dennis Hopper film.
16 June 2001
Pretty bad Hopper movie. About a bunch of hippies who live on a small island, and who indulge in drugs, sex and homosexuality. Quite graphic in the depictions of heroin usage, sex scenes and gay sex for its age. Not really worth watching - and to make matters worse, the now out of print video features and extremely poor quality transer.

Dark Places (1974)
Weak thriller.
24 May 2000
This film is rather entertaining but the chills are pretty weak. However, it has strong leads by Robert Hardy and Christopher Lee. I bought this video for five bucks at the Reject Shop, so what was I expecting? Not much, obviously.

Suspiria (1977)
Argento's Best
31 March 2000
Easily Dario Argento's best film to date. With it's blend of suspense and explicit ultra-violence, this is a real treat for fans of his earlier works, such as the sublime Deep Red, aka Profondo Rosso. There is a great widescreen print of this floating around, and I highly recommend you check it out, because it is easily the best print available.

Stepfather 3 (1992 TV Movie)
Ridiculous.
12 March 2000
Ok! 1 was great, 2 was ok, but this one is pushing it a bit far. Obviously Terry O'quinn didn't want to do this so they made up the storyline that the stepfather had his face changed so that he could go on with his murderous ways. With an annoying wheelchair-bound son to boot, we recommended surfing right past this film.

Great documentary.
16 January 2000
Very interesting and entertaining documentary featuring heaps of real footage of shootings and assassinations, etc. The squeamish should definitely avoid, because the footage is extremely graphic, and should definitely not be viewed by those under the age of 18.

Ghoulies II (1987)
Hilarious sequal to 1985 Bomb
8 November 1999
The first one was an absolute bomb, but this time they have gone one better.

This time, the Ghoulies join a small time carnival sideshow called Satan's Den. With the Ghoulies help, Satan' Den draws quite a crowd. But some of the people who enter Satan's Den won't ever come out! Not bad effects created by Friday the 13th part 7 directer John Carl Buelcher, who creates the cute little Ghoulies who terrorize Satan's Den. Join the Ghoulies as they bring their own brand of special effects to Satan's Den!

Candyman (1992)
Thought evoking horror/thriller.
1 November 1999
Thought evoking horror/thriller about a young woman called Helen writing a thesis on the mythical 'Candyman', a executed killer with one hand. Many murders happen throughout the course of the film, and Helen seems to always be at the scene, eventually having her sent to a mental asylum. The film ends with a very unique and suprising twist, that will have you on the edge of your seat. It would be cruel for me to spoil it for you, so see this film!

Bad Taste (1987)
Graphically violent splatter fest.
21 October 1999
This film is the graphically violent splatter fest that really put Peter Jackson on the map. Made for a couple of thousand, this film is one of the funniest low budget films ever made. Recommended for certain tastes only, and recommended only for people with very strong stomachs, as much of the gore is very graphiclly presented.

Worthless 80's teen sex comedy
21 October 1999
Worthless 80's teen sex comedy about some guys going to the beach and trying to get chicks. Not very well made, (or very good, either). I saw this film at the back of my local video shop (no wonder!). I seriously doubt if this is available in the US as the cover displayed above is that of another childrens program.
