Killer Instinct (2001)
Excellent Horror Film
I must say that my main motivation at first for renting this flick was to see the locations in and around my hometown forever immortialized on celluloid. But as I was watching the film, I soon saw that it was a very well done film and genuinely scary. If you enjoy this movie, be sure to visit the Chef's diner in Downingtown, PA (which was also the location for the 1958 classic 'The Blob')
God Told Me To (1976)
Pretty Good
This movie is definitely not for religious fanatics, despite the title. It is a very interesting thriller where a detective played by Tony Lo Bianco is hired to investigate a series of mysterious crimes, all of which the killers utter the words "God told me to." Keep an eye out for an early appearance by Andy Kaufman as the assassin at the St. Patrick's parade. All in all, the movie isn't half bad, especially if you're a Larry Cohen fan.
Scream 3 (2000)
Better than the second
Scream 3 definitely gets a "thumbs up" for me. The second film in the series was kind of disappointing, so I walked into the theater with low expectations. However, I did thoroughly enjoy the film and didn't see the ending coming at all. Fans of Kevin Smith films will want to watch for the cameo by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob, respectively.
American Raspberry (1977)
If you liked "The Groove Tube", you'll love this one
If you're a fan of TV parody movies like "The Groove Tube" or "Kentucky Fried Movie" you'll love this film. It may not be the best of them (I gave it a 7) but if you're a fan of the genre, it's worth a look. Keep an eye out for a pre-"Animal House" Stephen Furst. It's very hard to find and is not available for purchase, but if you do happen to find it, you'll like it. WARNING: Not for all tastes.
