Event Horizon (1997)
Great movie...too much violence
This is a perfect example of taking a good story and going too far with it. I would have really enjoyed this movie if it weren't for the "Marilyn-Manson-style" flash backs. They weren't needed and added ablsolutely nothing to the movie. They seemed completely out of place and disgusting!
The Green Mile (1999)
Hanks does it again
Tom Hanks is on a roll, and I hope for the sake of all of us that he keeps rolling. Great story (thanks to Stephen King) and great characters. The movie is long, but you don't grow tired of it as you might otherwise.
Die Hard (1988)
Another Classic...
This movie never gets old. In the years after it's release it was copied a "hundred" times, but never duplicated. Bruce Willis' best work (yes, including Sixth Sense). Seeing this at the theater was something I will never forget.
Alien (1979)
Best Sci-fi
The best Sci-fi movie of all time. The cinematography was awesome. I saw this at the theater before they started making the screens as big as my TV and WOW! The way they were always leading you into thinking that something was going to jump out of one side of the screen or the other...setting you up for when it really happened was brilliant!
Young Frankenstein (1974)
Classic...
One of the best comedy movies of all time. In the top three. The fact that it is black & white adds to the picture. There are so many remarkable lines in the movie it would be impossible to name them all. This and "Willy Wonka" are probably some of Gene Wilder's best works as a comedian.
Toys (1992)
The Most disappointing movie I have ever seen
What was Robin Williams thinking? The movie had NO POINT, wasn't funny, scary, depressing or ANYTHING...just stupid. The only emotion that the movie stirred up for me was that I was angry that I wasted the time to watch the whole thing.
