Go, Diego, Go! (2005)
One of the best shows ever for toddlers
A show that teaches toddlers about animals while being fun is a real gem, and we still use it years after it ended.
My only issue with it is the use of "magic", taken from the Dora show. I would much rather see technology as a solution provider instead.
The Gates (2010)
What a horrible experience
Originality is not a must when looking to create viewers interest. True Blood wasn't very original and yet it did a great all around job. When you don't have an original idea, everything else gets a lot harder. Without originality you do need the best actors, directors, dialog writers and even good editors. It seemed to me and to my beloved wife that "The gates" cut corners in every department. We had shivers watching badly written scenes performed by unconvincing actors, when even the lighting, music and camera angels were clichés to seal the deal. Don't watch this show if you value your free time. There are just so many better shows out there, go for one that will have at least one good thing about it. This show does not.

50 First Dates (2004)
Its the first romantic movie I gave more then a 6, and its a 10
I love movies that make me think, so usually its science fiction movies that I enjoy the most. I never watched a romantic movie that had even the slightest chance of getting me interested. Until this one. Memento is without a doubt one of the best movies ever made, partly because the amount of ideas that the "no new memories" problem can produce is enormous. 50 first dates takes a look at this problem from the romantic side. This intellectual spin keeps the movie interesting all the way. This love flick actually makes you put yourself in the characters shoes and think about what would you do. So although its ab love movie, I had fun almost every second of it- all I had to do is filter out the Schneider jokes (that didn't work at all, unlike his other movies). 50 first dates wasn't just a intellectual pleasure, It also moved me quite a bit. The fear of loving someone that doesn't remember loving you shook me up emotionally. So it was smart, funny and sad all at the same time. what else can you ask from a movie? for me the answer is - nothing.
21 Grams (2003)
mixes times to hide the lack of a good story
remember memento? time flowed backwards, and it was perfect. one of the best movies ever. well, it was great to see how the understanding of the story gets better and deeper when you learned just what happened before. well, in memento you knew exactly when everything happened- cause the flow was exactly backwards. in this movie, you have no idea when each scene happens. so basically, you are guessing the whole time. the makers of this movie had to do it, cause otherwise the movie would have been very very boring. when you realize everything, you gather that the story is not interesting at all. the entire interest lies in guessing "who is that guy?". "did that happen before of after?" and so on. you can just take any bad movie ever written, mix out the scenes randomly, and get a movie just as good as this one. just make sure there are enough naked women in it to make the guys happy. my opinion: don't waste your time.
Swimming Pool (2003)
the most boring thing i ever seen
Spoiler: nothing happens in this movie. The whole movie is about waiting for something to happen. Nothing ever does. Well, unless a nude young woman is an event in your book. Its not in mine.... To tell the truth, I cant be sure something didn't happen in the last 20 minutes. I am just not that patient. 75 minutes of pure boredom were enough for me. DON'T WASTE A SINGLE MOMENT ON IT.
The Hunted (2003)
Concept first, Story last -> Senseless
The movie started out great, and the concept of the movie was clear- well trained elite soldiers showing us their skills without a war. But the makers were so fixed on the beautiful scenery and the fighting scenes, that they made no effort to have the story make sense, or even a bit complete. They don't tell us if the first victims were really sweepers, and if he's paranoid or really being chased. There is no explanation how the FBI kept track of the two main characters chase to the train. Why would an FBI boss go inside a dark tunnel after a super killer? Why would agents that move such a well known (to them) dangerous man keep him without chains? Why is a soldier with tracking skill leave so many unnecessary tracks on a chase (open sewer, work helmet)? Why did the teacher not reply to so many desperate letters? Why were these letters written to him at all, where the two men don't seem to know each other well? Why would a soldiers trainer refuse to use a gun when chasing such a dangerous man? Why didn't he take a knife with him? Why didn't the FBI call an elite unit for the chase at all times?
These are just questions I can remember after two days, but it captures my general feeling of frustration and anger while watching this movie. They paid a lot of attention to how the movie looks, and none to support in inner logic. DON'T WATCH unless you are unemployed and really bored and its free on TV in the morning.
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
one of the most boring movies ever
Right from the start you know everything there is to know about the movie. I will not say much so to not give a spoiler , except that there is no spoilers to give even if I wanted to.... boring boring boring. I think I know why the ER doctor took the part- its a leading role. As to all the other stars, its really strange. Maybe they were offered other parts elsewhere if they agree, we will never know. None of them had any acting to do, and we will not even remember their parts, maybe not even that they were there. You can watch it, just dont expect anything but to pass some time. better wait for it to be on endless reruns on TV. It can surely wait.
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
The only movie I walked out of in the middle for the last 12 years
When I go to a movie, I expect to get at least one thing out of it. There was not one thing I could find in this one.
The story was stupid and made no sense at all. If you want disgusting shots of cutting off heads, that is all you can find in this movie. Well, I don't seek such "pleasures".
Last time I left a movie theater in the middle was 1988. I hoped it will not happen again. Well, now it did.
Fight Club (1999)
The best movie of all times, it is the perfect movie
when a movie has everything- when it is smart and mysterious, funny and serious, dramatic and moving, when it also has alot to say about the life of each viewer, when it is deep, and when it burns itself in the memory forever- only then can it be called perfect. This was the first time I have seen a movie so complete, that all I thought on the way out was "I want to see it again and again". But no matter how many time I'll see it, I will always rememebr the first time. This is the best movie I have ever seen, without any competition.
