Mercy (2000)
Not a predictable movie.
I'm not sure if this movie even came out in the theaters, if it did, it wasn't advertised where we live. But the preview was on about 10 movies we rented, so we figured we'd see it. It was a little strange, but it keeps you guessing. And as usual, Julian Sands plays a weird but well played part. Overall worth seeing.
Il fantasma dell'opera (1998)
Not your typical hollywood flick.
Despite the fact that Julian Sands and Asia Argento are both great actors, this movie is strange, even for a Phantom movie. I guess being made in Italy/Hungary will do that to a movie. If you like horror movies that don't follow the "Scream" format then it's worth seeing. But if you usually stick to blockbuster titles, you probably won't like this movie.
Warlock: The Armageddon (1993)
Better than the first.
Ok, so this isn't the greatest story ever told, but It's good for a hollywood horror movie. I could have done without the cheesy special effects (which were cheesy even by 1993 standards), but it was still a good movie. Julian Sands doesn't disappoint and looks even better than in the first one (it that's possible).
Naked Lunch (1991)
Quite possibly the strangest movie ever made!
I've seen some strange movies, but this one is really weird. If you like movies like Delicatessen and the City of Lost Children, you will like this one. Lots of homosexual references in it too, so if you're homophobic stay away.
Boxing Helena (1993)
good movie, bad ending!
I am an avid Julian Sands fan and find it hard to hate any of his movies, but this was not the greatest. The story and acting were all fine, but the ending was really stupid. I felt like I had just sat through a two hour soap opera after I saw the ending. The writer or whoever came up with it really ruined it.
