This ranks down there as one of the worst movies ever. My freind got me this DVD as a joke, and i'll admit i laughed at the movie a whole lot... but because it's just so bad. The best part of the movie was the music, which wasn't even good. The ending was horrible, absolutly one of the worst endings ever. Don't waist you're time unless you've got nothin better to do than... no wait there's really nothin worse you could be doing.

Martin Lawrence has had better, in fact it's hard to say who hasn't. This movie starts off very awkwardly. The premise is ridiculous. The middle of the movie was not bad, silly but I laughed. Wether I was laughing because of the movie, or at it i found it enjoyable. The ending tries to be so serious I couldn't help but laugh. Basically not a movie that I would go after to try and see, but if you do end up seeing it you might be able to enjoy yourself. (4/10) Overall Quality

This documentary surprised me. At first I saw it because I am a rap fan especially of the old Death Row. I was blown away by the style and production of this movie. Two huge things make this documentary worth wild. First off the film is completely impartial. You just get the facts and opinions of those directly involved and few from those outside. The other factor is that other people who aren't rap fans will find this interesting. After my viewing I showed this to many friends and all were deeply interested despite any real interest in rap music. Great topic because of it's controversy and it's impact over the nation. If you give it an honest shot you'll find it interesting and very well done.

Me and some of my guy friends went out to see this movie in high hopes that it was going to be hot women and a great "guy movie". Unfortunately, this was a chick flick in disguise, and a bad one at that. Don't be fooled stay away.

If you like cars, this is the movie to watch. That is the only point I could see in the movie at all. The acting was sub-par, as well as the plot, and the "non-stop action," as some have called it, was hardly enough to make me blink. I've even seen better car chases in several other movies, such as Ronin. Watching the movie just to look at cars was the only reason I slightly enjoyed this movie. It's a good movie for lots of people because you don't have to pay attention to the plot at all and still catch a couple of fun parts. Otherwise, don't waist your time.

This was an interesting movie which i enjoyed very much. The action was decent and the plot was intricate. The car chase scenes where excellent. DeNiro gave a solid performance as well. It's the kind of movie you need to pay attention to, but at the same time it doesn't twist too much. I'd gladly see this movie again several times.

I don't understand how anyone could like this movie so much. I read through these comments and it shocks me to see that so many people actually like this movie. Let's get something strait first. I LIKE dumb comedies and spoofs. This movie started off pretty good. Then all the sudden I said to myself, what the heck am I watching. This movie turned out to be absolute garbage. I never was so eager to stop watching a movie before in my life. If you have any decency in your taste in movies and you're not a freak, listen to me, DON'T EVER WATCH THIS MOVIE!!

I was staying over-seas with nothing to do. As i searched through the rented room, all i found was Missing in Action. After popping it in I couldn't stop watching. I have never laughed harder at a movie since watching this. This movie was utterly ridiculous. The first scene alone made me fall out of my chair. This is the cheesiest and fakest movie EVER! I'm not saying it's even decent as a movie, at all, but it sure is funny to watch.

I normally like these long developing deep movies. I am a huge Pacino fan as well, his acting is incredible. But, after seeing this movie, I said "that's it?" I had seriously felt like I had waisted my time. Great story line, but I felt like the movie just came and went without changing any part of my thinking at all.

This movie is more than a war movie. It goes deep into the heart of the human soul. There is so much symbolism in this movie that it was impossible to pick up the first time. Check it out only if you have the time and patience to view this properly. Definitely one of the deepest movies I have ever seen.

I like alot of violent disgusting movies, but this was too much for me. This movie was so funny but i will never ever see it again because of several parts. If you tend to get offended even the slightest, then i'd suggest avoiding this movie.

In all seriousness, will someone please try to explain to me what is it in this movie, besides the awesome action, that makes it that good. Honestly, I must have seen this movie a solid 7 times, twice in theaters. Every time I go into it trying to find what all the buzz is about. I still don't see it. Mind you, Crowe was great, most of the battle scenes where definitely on point, but why is it so good. What am i supposed to take out of this movie?

If you ask me it's overrated, but it could have been much better. The plot lacked as the movie progressed and the final battle was anti-climatic. No one can honestly tell me going into the final battle that they could not predict the outcome. It was by far Maximus's weakest opponent.

A pretty good movie, but if you ask me, I'd rather see Braveheart ten times before i watched that movie again.

This is one of those movies, which you'll either love or hate. Most people who didn't like it will probably try to pick apart dumb things that didn't appeal to them. If you know football, you can easily follow this movie. The camera shots in this movie where great. Stone does a fantastic job of not shooting this film like a TV game. Instead, he primarily focuses on the individuals of the game, using close-ups and oblique angles to make the movie more realistic and intense. If you know football, not just a fan that watches the game, you'll know that this movie is realistic. From playing football myself, what goes on the field is depicted better than any other movie I have seen.

Don't worry if you're not interested in the on field performances though. The plot goes deeper than one might see from a distance. There is so many uses of symbolism that Stone uses that it is masterful. The camera work by far outweighs any of the great performances that Pacino or Diaz pulls. This is the way the game is. In someone's comments, this person mentions that they hoped real NFL players didn't behave this way. In response to this, watching this movie probably gives the viewer an insight into what pro football is really like. Although it's scary, this stuff actually happens almost weekly -- From the locker room, to the on field discussions and pile-ups. I can't think of anything that doesn't happen or that hasn't happened (including an almost cheesy part with a certain players eye- yes it has happened).

Personally I liked the movie if they would have ended it before the credits. However, this movie can't be that great. 7.8/10 Defiantly worth it for several reasons

Honestly, you will not like this movie at all if you haven't seen any ghetto movies or don't understand ghetto humor. Like most spoof movies, it won't be funny if you don't know what is being made fun of.

If either of these things are true, see this movie. If not, don't bother. I think that I have never laughed harder than during this movie. One of my personal favorite comedies.

When I first saw this movie, you must keep in mind that I saw it immediately after Hard-Boiled. So, personally the action and violence didn't even compare and I was left quiet disappointed. This movie in many respects was pretty good. The acting of De Niro and Connery were on point and many other actors were not far behind. The plot and the shoot out scenes were very lacking. Almost from the beginning, we pushed to believe that Ness was out to get Capone on tax evasion. This just seemed a little lame, although i know it was factual. In general, I'd say that De Palma was trying too hard to make this movie commercial and a box office hit, as opposed to a solid dramatic piece. I found myself laughing at Costner's pathetic lines that were obviously meant to be more emotional and dramatic. They just turned out weak and too hokey. If you're sitting around and someone brings The Untouchables over to watch, go for it. Not a bad movie, but I would recommend that you wouldn't waste this movie as your pick when going to a rental store, let someone else waste their choice on it. If you're looking for more action and better drama, check out Scarface, Goodfellas, or Casino (all better movies with De Palma directing)

This movie was great, as most people comment, but what lacked was the ending. It suddenly ended abruptly. Kind of a let down, considering the way the rest of the movie went. Great movie, I loved it, but the end was a little to sappy and feel good to be a true gangster classic. By all means watch this movie. I give would have given it a 9... but alas some times even the best things can let you down in the end -- 7
