Dreamcatcher (2003)
Pretty Close to the Book
I read the book for Dreamcatcher just about 1-2 months ago and I was looking forward to seeing this movie.
For the most part this movie is at least 75% like the book.
The only things really different are the removal/changes of some scenes(probably for time contraints) and the ending.
Other than those things, I thought this movie was really close to the book (though you might need to read the book but get some explainations for things that are not really explained).
WMAC Masters (1995)
Martial Arts version of WWF
This show featured Martial Art battles\demonstrations. In between each of the fights were backstage storylines developing things like friendships and feuds between the fighters. Later on in the series a storyline developed involving a villain, however I didn't catch all of it. It was an alright show even though it basically copied the WWF and didn't last very long.
The Haunting (1999)
75% Mystery, 25% Horror
I think the thing that people didn't like about the movies is that it was not scary enough.
I have to agree with that. It was not too scary for the most part. The most intense scenes of horror only appear in the final quarter of the movie.
For the most part of the movie "The Haunting" is a mystery. The ghosts of the children keep on trying to tell Nell something and it is only when she starts to figure out that Hugh Crane takes control and the terror level goes up big time.
I believe that people will like this movie better if they think of it as a mystery instead of a 100% horror movie.
If you want a haunted house movie that is 100% horror go see "House on Haunted Hill"
The Return of Jafar (1994)
Basically a pilot for the cartoon
This movie is the weakest of the 3 Aladdin movies. This movie is nothing but a pilot for the cartoon that debuted shortly after the release of this video. The fact that it is just a pilot for the TV show is further demonstrated by the fact that it is just over an hour long and that it features one of the show recurring villains(Abis Mal). Aladdin and the King of Thieves is a much better sequel than this one.
