This mini-series serves an excellent perspective on an overlooked part of human psyché. The series delves into an interesting part of our psychology. In the same way an un-treated gunshot wound would eventually kill you, an unacknowledged part of your intimate self will come to show in the end. Furthermore it highlights our «shadow» and darker pullings. Sometimes they are all you know and act upon, because their fullfillment is the only control you can assert. In addition, we get to see the human capacity to know pragmatics of morality, yet still giving in to the urges that will further our demise. A trifolded perspective of victim, villain and observer is layed out across a series of events. Interestingly, our protagonist as the victim is very self-aware, yet fails to see himself in true comparison with his perpetrator. Interestingly, a mentally unstable person tries to diagnose the other, while being engulfed in a situation with paralells to the Stocholm syndrom. Lastly, it displays the human tendency to maximise fear in the face of expectancy from our peers. Our protagonist falls into darkness created mostly by his own shadow - light closer than he could ever imagine.
