South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
Better than the show
It was great. I'd say that it was better than most episodes! And for once a cartoon contained songs that weren't crap. What I really liked about the movie was that it made fun of the total over reaction of parents who think swearing is terrible. It needed to be done. I really liked the song marathon, and the bit at the end of the 'Blame Canada' song, where everybody sings about blaming Canada "Before somebody thinks of blaming us!" The movie was better than I'd expected it to be, and better than most episodes of South Park I've ever seen (Yet not as good as the Korn Halloween episode, or the one where Kenny gets a PSP) And also, for anyone who has it on DVD, it's funny to watch Cartmans swearing spree at the end with subtitles on, because there are a lot of 'swear words' in it that aren't actually swear words, like Barbara Streisand.
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (2005)
This was great, but better if your a fan of the show...
While I didn't think this was quite up to Family Guy standards, it was still a great movie. Originally, this was going to be three episodes, and Stewie was going to come out of the closet, but the story was changed to the movie that we all now know and love (Well, I do anyway) The first part of the movie is built on the Stewie-Brian relationship, one which creator Seth Macfarlane says wasn't originally his idea, but was made by the other writers. The basic plot line is as follows : Stewie, after having a near death experience, attempts to turn his life around. He fails (Stewie and 'nice' don't mix, and the attempt has some cringe-worthy results) and then sees a man on the news who looks like he could be his father. He and Brian set off to San Francisco to find the man, only for Stewie to find out the man is him from the future. The movie gets better as it goes along, my favourite bit being the Jesus sketch, but it's better if your a fan of the show.
Larry & Steve (1997)
It was a bit too 'cartoony' for my tastes,
but it was still pretty good. It wasn't quite as good as 'The Life of Larry', but then again, it had to be a bit more child-friendly to be on Cartoon Network. It was worth the half hour download time (My computer is VERY slow) for the one or two laugh-out-loud moments, but any longer than that, and there's not really much point. It's not hard to see who Steve later evolved into (a more famous cartoon by Seth Macfarlane) but unlike 'The Life of Larry', none of the jokes are reused in 'Family Guy'. One of the only bad points I can make about it was the classic cartoon scream, where the characters eyes go wider than their head. When this is used on Steve, it's cringe worthy.
