Surprise!
21 March 2024
Never in a million years would I have believed that a drama series about greasers would touch my heart on such a level. I was never interested in their music or cars. But the depiction of heartbreak, friendship, parental abandonment and mental health made my tear channels flood. The series is totally addictive and I lost some sleep binge watching it.

It's been so many years since I've was in the same age as the main characters, but some things never get old and nostalgia always plays some heart strings.

The acting feels very true, not mannered, and for that I take a bow, cause that is always the hardest part, and has destroyed many movies about youth.

Go watch!

Lyle is in the house!
4 January 2023
I'm not a fan of musicals, but this one hit the right spot!

The loveable crocodile Lyle danced and sang it's way into our heart, and me and my 6 year old gladly sang along at the theatre!

The animation of Lyle is perfectly done, and the story has been placed in a modern narrative, without losing the charm of it.

We had some good laughs, and I heard the little ones all over the theatre being truly annoyed by the evil neighbour and engaged in the story of Lyle, Hector and Josh.

This is a story that the youngest ones can enjoy as well as their parents, and I bet that any fan of musicals will be evenly pleased.

The truth is out there...
26 December 2022
This charming, fun and thrilling movie takes you right back to the 90;s (and a bit of the 80;s as well). For a lover of vintage you will find a lot of nice details, and for a lover of old school sci fi you will get the feels from those old Spielberg movies such as "Close encounters of the third kind".

The special effects are stunning, yet true to movies 30 years ago, and there were some nailbiting scenes were we, me and my 13 year old daughter, were leaning far in our chairs at the cinema.

The roles are perfectly casted, and the characters are diverse. I especially enjoyed Isabelle Kyed as "Töna" and Niklas Kvarnbo Jönsson as "Karl-Tefat" but I only have great words to say about the rest of the cast aswell.

This movie succeds were others fail by being absolutely genuine and down to earth (pun not intended) and I am very impressed by the small production company Crazy Pictures that continues to build a name for themselves with productions like this.

For lovers of sci fi and action this is a must see, but it's also filmed with that humor and warmth that takes it to another level.

There's a new Santa in town!

The importance of this movie and this community can not be stated enough. I was truly touched by the bravery in these people, and the impact they have on others.

I was also disgusted by phobic and racist people claiming to be sent by God, and that the Holy Spirit spoke through them and chanting that they were saving Santa. News flash guys- Santa isn't even in the Bible and Christmas is not about hatred.

I want to say so much more about this amazing documentary and the amazing people it evolves around, but that would spoil too much, so please watch it and experience the true Christmas spirit.

How to start over
13 November 2022
A privileged woman with a so called "perfect life" finds out things are not what they seem. But starting over when you have been naive is not that easy.

The story was cute and engaging, and so was the story. Danica Curcic is perfect for the role as Line, and the Mom Squad that she meets of course adds up to the feel good part of the movie.

The story doesn't go ocean deep, and it only touches the surface of the feelings the characters may have, but it is the kind of movie that you will go to when surface level is just what you need.

For me, with a mentally heavy week behind me, this movie was just the right medicine.

In the sign of the Scorpio
9 November 2022
The creators of this movie have managed to do something really difficult; a crime movie for kids that is actually really thrilling for kids and engages the grownups, who watches it with them, as well.

The little town Valleby, home of all the LasseMaja stories, is going to have it's 500th anniversary- but the joy and excitement is taken down buy a crock inspired by horoscopes.

Meanwhile the police officer of Valleby is depressed and is absorbed by the thought of falling in love. Now the solving of the mystery is upon the shoulders of young detectives Lasse and Maja.

They have only got a few days to make the celebration of the anniversary possible.

This was a binge watch for me, I even lost my sleep. Even though it broke my heart I couldn't stop watching. I think the acting is brilliant as well as the take on where it all started, nothing feels sugar coated or fake.

This is Marvel Universe at it's best, DC Comics could never do this- how hard they ever try! The Man would have been proud, and hopefully he is looking down, R. I. P Stan Lee!!

I am used to see Simon Pegg in splatter movies, which I actually love, only. Not in a million years did I think he could pull off a romantic comedy, but he sure did!

When it comes to childrens education this one, after all this years, still stands unbeaten! It is very engaging, you will soon find your child spelling, counting and more together with the characters on the screen. It is all done with warmth, humour and respect towards the children watching it.

This cult classic is hilarious, and a must watch if you're in to splatter comedys. "Don't run, we are your friends" always tears me up :D The special effects and animation hasn't aged very well since I saw it the first time, but that is also part of the charm!

A final dance off!
28 August 2021
This is a movie about a couple of men constantly guilt tripping a girl who always tries her best to please them.

While I liked the first film, and loved the second, this one got on my nerves.

Yay!
9 July 2021
This must be the best animated movie in 10 years! It's equally funny for grown ups and kids, and I probably laughed the loudest in the whole cinema. It has some good plot twists and ironic humour, and has a good take on heroines, role models that can be uplifting for young girls. Take your kids to this one, and I promise you a perfect date, me and my 5 year old had the time of our lives.

You are 100 percent in the ocean with mind, soul and heart watching this! It is true that me and me children were hugging each other and crying for a steady 20 minutes afterwords. Feeling so humble towards the hidden universe laying under us in the oceans.

Zandra Andersson steps out of the camera and in to your living room. Her precense is in every moment is 100 percent. You will laugh and cry and dream together with her. Anastasious Soulis is equally there, making every minute feel real, and the truest of friendships manifest as the camera rolls.

This show is extremly bingworthy! It's amazing to follow Heigls and Chalkes characters throughout almost 30 years, and the chemistry between the two is real and sparkling! Heigl aka Tully wears the character of a clown, amuzing, smiling but always sad and broken on the inside, Chalke aka Kate being the shy one who is in bloom and still keeps opening up in her 40:s. I say no more, because instead of reading this you should instantly start your binge!

Well well...
6 February 2021
During the first 20 minutes I was constantly close to unzap and watch something else, I had my 11 year old daughter next to me, and both the story and the language were vulgar and stupid. But we just couldn't stop laughing, we laughed until we cried, and I surrendered, leaned back and let my self be entertained. Just put your standards aside and you will have so much fun watching this! Franco is perfectly casted for the role.
