sensitive, accurate, well filmed
28 June 2003
This film is a sensitive and accurate portrayal of many of the issues surrounding transgendered living. The way that a transgendered individual evolves in feeling about herself as she confronts the implications of 'the operation' on her acceptance of herself and the way others will see her. The film has good production values and very nice scenes of Milano as it is.

Extraordinary!

This film captures exquisitely the reality of life among the traditional peoples of Nepal, Bhutan, etc. The interplay between ordinary life and religion was well captured and highlights that it isn't all Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. It's the difference between the Vatican and a good ole Texas revival meetin'.
