Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
More Please!
We loved it. Such a good movie.
Hoping the franchise will continue in some fashion, even if Harrison Ford says he is done, more could be done with Helena "Wombat" Shaw. She was a fantastic character, as well as her little sidekick Teddy.
Really, all the actors/actresses did a fantastic job. We had no complaints at all.
Maybe Harrison Ford, Karen Allen and John Rhys-Davies would even consent to appearing if Wombat needed help deciphering something or whatever.
It was really well done. Lots of action, comedy and suspense. The de-aging was fine. We didn't have a problem with it. It's great that the technology to do that is available.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)
Crazy Good Fun!
Hubs and I really enjoyed this movie. In our humble opinions, an entire movie could be made around Buster Scruggs himself. We got the biggest kick out of this character and he was so expertly portrayed by Tim Blake Nelson.
The other stories were well played out and entertaining. By far, one of the most engaging bunch of misfit characters we've had the pleasure of watching in awhile. You never quite knew just how each story was going to play out exactly and it was fun trying to figure it out as we went.
The Coen Brothers did not disappoint. Even if you aren't a fan of westerns, check it out. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Persuasion (2022)
I really liked it.
I thought it was very well done. It was lighthearted and fun. Anne's journey from despair to hope and on to full-on happiness was delightful.
The characters were interesting and the cast did a great job.
Whether or not you are a Jane Austen fan, or a fan of this kind of movie, watch it for yourself. Don't stay away from it because of those who hated it. They are entitled to their opinion, most certainly, but quite a lot were overly harsh.
Having watched all of the other such adaptations, I have to say this was one of my faves. Sometimes its nice to watch a movie that you can just simply enjoy. It doesn't have to have hidden meanings or messages. Its supposed to be entertainment, after all.
Reacher (2022)
Reacher is BADASS!
My Brother-in-Law suggested we check out this show, and he was fairly insistent, which is a rarity for him as he'd a pretty laid-back kind of quiet guy. So, we did. And, we were NOT disappointed. Not in the least. We were totally hooked very early on in the first episode.
Hubby and I have very dark senses of humor. We love oddball comedies, we're big fans of things like True Blood, Supernatural, Dexter, American Auto, Letterkenny....and the list goes on. We watch A LOT of TV. So, this show really captured our attention and fast, as I mentioned.
IF you have not checked this show out and you enjoy action, humor and snarky wise-cracking characters then I suggest you find time to sit down and watch it.
Children Ruin Everything (2022)
Hilarious Show!
Hubby and I LOVE this show. Being big fans of Letterkenny, we decided to check this out (the previews for it caught our attention as well). Since we both love oddball, goofy comedies, it didn't take long into the first episode to hook us.
We love that it is often silly and off-the-wall with a side hustle of realness and downright laugh-out-loud moments.
New in Town (2009)
Cute, feel-good movie.
I really enjoyed it. It was light-hearted fare, great characters. I enjoyed it so much, I think it would make a great series. If you like movies that you can just sit back and relax and feel cozy with some laughs thrown in, this one is for you.
The Finder (2012)
We Love this show!
Hubby and I watched this show when it originally aired and were disappointed when it didn't get picked up for a second season.
It would totally be great if IMDBTV or another platform would reprise this show. Michael Clarke Duncan's character, Leo, would have to be recast or another character brought in instead, since he passed away in 2012.
(Update March 31, 2022)
Hubby and I just watched The Finder over again and we still love it. We were chatting about it the other day and thought it would still be a great idea to revisit this show with the original cast (or at least as many as are willing).
Willa could now be running the bar helping other struggling teens as Leo did for her. Walter could still be loveable Walter and Isabelle would not only have her career, but still be Walter's significant other (married or not) with maybe at least one child together.
Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1983)
Love this show!
I loved it when it originally aired, was super disappointed when it didn't get picked up for a Season 5. The dynamic between Lee & Amanda was fun and I was really looking forward to more of their partnership.
Hubby bought me the dvd set and we just finished the last episode. I really wish there was more of it. I think it would be cool if IMDBTV (or any other platform like Netflix or Amazon) would do a reunion show (like Mad About You and Will & Grace) with Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson back as Lee & Amanda. Maybe they are being honored for their service and getting to solve one last case, something along those lines.
Love Hard (2021)
Loved it so much!
This is not my usual type of movie. We watch a lot of comedy, sci-fi, and action movies and so on in our house (I am surrounded by men...hubby, 2 sons...even the cat is male), but I absolutely loved it.
Nina Dobrev and Jimmy O. Yang were perfect in their roles of Natalie & Josh, and the rest of the cast were great too. I would totally love to see a follow-up movie with all the cast back for more hijinks.
Professionals (2020)
Too Much Hate for a Great Show!
We have been Tom Welling and Brendan Fraser fans for a long time. They were what drew us to watch it. It was worth it. We loved it.
As some other reviewers noted, there seems to be a lot of hate for it which is totally unnecessary. It's okay to not like it, but don't trample it into the mud and potentially deter someone else from checking it out.
We hope it gets more seasons. We enjoyed the action and the humor. It's our kind of show.
CSI: Vegas (2021)
So glad to have our fave CSI back
We have been looking forward to this show for a long time. Grissom & Sara were our faves.
At the end of the first episode Hubby and I both felt like it had never gone off the air. We love the new characters. They all complement each other well and we hope some of the other former CSI characters might make a return visit here and there (or stick around longer).
La Brea (2021)
La Brea is very interesting!
When I saw the trailer for this show, I was very intrigued. The first episode didn't disappoint. Even Hubby liked it and he's usually harder to convince on some new shows that I want to check out.
While some viewers may find it farfetched, we liked it. The thing is for us, TV is entertainment. We don't have to have absolute realism all the time. Sometimes it's nice to just escape into a show and be entertained.
We've enjoyed Natalie Zea's work since Lost, The Following (we miss that show so much!) and Justified (another awesome series). So, we were willing to give it a chance. Looking forward to seeing how it goes and unraveling the mystery.
Ghosts (2021)
Such a fun show!
We are loving Ghosts.
Having been a fan of Rose McIvor for some time, I was looking forward to this show. It didn't disappoint.
We love both the husband and wife team and the ghosts. While some viewers may not like the husband, he's a great foil for the wife's exuberance. She's the gas, he's the brakes.
Ghosts is just plain enjoyable. While we like shows that make us think and try to figure everything out, sometimes we just want a show to entertain us and make us laugh. Ghosts fills that bill.
Ordinary Joe (2021)
Ordinary Joe isn't ordinary viewing
We are really enjoying the many lives of Joe. The little twists and turns around each corner are intriguing and fun to try and figure out.
The characters are well done and well played by the actors/actresses.
Looking forward to seeing which path Joe eventually chooses and what other surprises lie in wait.
Moonshine (2021)
Moonshine is fantastic!
Hubby & I are loving Moonshine. Being from the Maritimes ourselves, it's a fun little show and we are looking forward to seeing where it all goes.
The sibling rivalry is only outmatched when they work together...lol.
Call Me Kat (2021)
Call us Impressed!
I have loved Mayim Bialik since her Blossom days and she was fantastic as Amy Farrah-Fowler Cooper on Big Bang Theory. Having watched Miranda, I was intrigued when I heard they were making this. Convinced Hubby to watch it with me and he loves it too. We find it to be such a cute, refreshing little show with a great cast! We hope it gets more seasons.
Resident Alien (2021)
Alan Tudyk Shines!
We are LOVE, LOVE, LOVING this show! We have been fans of Alan Tudyk since his Firefly days and he does not disappoint! The other characters are interesting and we are slowly figuring out what makes some of them tick.
WandaVision (2021)
Funtastic!
We are loving this show. As huge fans of the Marvel movies, we are really enjoying WandaVision. At the end of each episode the four of us (Hubster, myself and our two sons) discuss different points we felt were explained and how there are so many more questions needing answers. We are thrilled with the addition of a particular Agent Jimmy Woo and Dr. Darcy Lewis!!
Walker (2021)
Excellent!!
Really enjoyed it. Characters were interesting and well played. Looking forward to more episodes!
MacGyver (2016)
MacGyver Rocks!
LOVE this show! Lucas Till is fantastic as Angus MacGyver. All of the cast are great. We really look forward to it every week.
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
We love this show!
Bob Hearts Abishola is one of the cutest shows on the air. We love it and are always kind of sad when each episode is over because we want more.
Mad About You (1992)
Still Mad About You!
My husband and I watched the series when it first aired through to the finale. We were super excited when we heard there would be a revival and it has not disappointed. We are really enjoying having Paul & Jamie back. We really, really hope there will be more after this.
