Too many pessimistic persons
22 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
All round pretty fun popcorn movie & genuinely terrifying at other parts. The effects hold up for the most part & unless you're looking for it you can't tell they recast the helicopter pilot. Yes the daughter character is insufferable at out right got her father killed but at the end of the day is watch a sequel.

Brilliant duo story of revenge and money
1 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
For a few dollars more is a great price of cinema personally, the dubbing compared to a fist full of dollars is vastly improved (apart for 2 or 3 scenes) I felt a bit more involved in the story than the previous and a genuine desire to find answers about the film, great preformences by the three leads (especially lee van cleef)

In Bruges (2008)

One of the greatest dark/comedy's you can find
23 October 2019
In Bruges is a small simple story about two hitmen hiding out in the small Belgian city of Bruges , one hates it one lives it and that's the dynamic that structures the first act so brilliantly, it's slow paced but hilarious for anyone looking to have a guaranteed laugh and once it gets into the 2nd and especially third acts you realise it's not just a clown fest but a real drama aswell showing the struggles and horrible things people could do and the consequences that they cause

Great cgi and sound design , unusual camera angles , horrible human characters
14 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The film is good , decent , Godzilla is the king of the monsters and the final battle in Boston is most of what you expect it to be, apart from some unusual camera angles.

I couldn't care less for the human characters, cut them out the movie and all your missing is exposition, the burning Godzilla was a spectacle and I certainly didn't expect the part where he lifts up gidorahs alpha head and disintegrated it

Solid action movie , great superhero, fantastic spy movie

Winter: soldier is an enthralling entry to the marvel universe, alongside gotg 2014 was one of the best years for marvel. Personally I prefer this film to gotg , some of the action scenes (before the third act) are portrayed in such a realistic way, even though you know they're fake and that when you think about them that they're unrealistic they still have a huge impact and still surprise me

Satisfaction
5 June 2019
Probably the only film a blind man can enjoy, Morgan freeman's lines should be made into and audio book. People hate narrators in films which yes can get annoying but this is one of those examples that work, that's all I have to say.

Warning: Spoilers
No plot needed in my opinion, the action scenes alone could get you through this film. Knowing how much was practical is mind-boggling and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who hates the action scenes. Alas the story does have more double crosses than thrown out shoelace.

One of my favourite things though was that the moustache on Henry cavill was worth it.

The Thing (1982)
9/10
Best horror film ever made (in my opinion)
5 June 2019
The thing is a 1982 remake of a 50s monster flick (the thing from another world) which in itself is not bad but is nothing compared to this masterpiece.

The thing "no pun intended" that really holds the film together for me is the chemistry between the cast, they play of each other perfectly in a "who done it" storyline and the practical effects mixed with a haunting note makes for a great late night watch

Refreshing popcorn fun
30 May 2019
Pure fun , don't really care about new characters and the main villain, really fun movie after how dark infinity war can get.
