The Brotherhood 2: Young Warlocks (2001)
Like Boyz to Men, it's Vampires to Warlocks
Well sure, it's kinda cheesy, but it would do OK for a late night cable movie. The wardrobe is cool, much better than the dialogue. Not a movie I would recommend to an empowered female (they mainly are just "candy", and not the "eye kind" in this movie).
Light on plot, not that I was looking for anything deep, but I definitely liked the first one better. Still, not a bad rental if it's a slow movie week.
Travis (1997)
A documentary that will touch your heart and conscience.
Spoiler Warning: This film will move you and is unlike any documentary I have ever seen. It's main character is an adorable little boy named Travis and the film follows him from from age 6-9. It puts a human face on HIV/AIDS, and helps the viewer understand the complexing medical side of HIV through the eyes of Travis' grandmother, who has cared for him since infancy. This kid has more heart and guts than most adults I have ever known. And when he speaks (very candidly) to the camera, you feel/see his pain, and smile when he has a "good day". I've seen this 3 times and cannot recommend it enough. It was nominated for an Oscar, so that should give an indication of just how good it really is.
