Refreshing
20 February 2024
This was a refreshing documentary. Many documentaries made about celebrities is like an extended version of cribs "look what I have now". They come across materialistic and out of touch with reality. This documentary was different. From start to finish the most important aspect of Giannis' life was his family. His drive, success, and future ambitions were never about himself or his ego; they are fuelled by those he cares about most. He doesn't play down the hard work but shows where determination can get. Success is stepping stones and the support of a loving family is the most important thing along the way. New respect for this man. He's a true inspiration.

Outside during heavy snowfall and no snow lands on you?
26 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Eeeeergh this wasn't good. From weird camera moments, to bad special effects, to an overloaded storyline, and finally the fastest relationship developments ever.

There were some face palm scenes throughout. I love some Christmas cheese but this was like easy single cheese in large quantities.

Towards the end when he was giving his big speech, all I could focus on was the fact it was snowing heavily and not a flake was landing on him. Then it cut to her and back to him and someone had the sense to put a dusting on him. For me this kind of epitomised the cheap, half-assed nature of the movie.

Also, could she not be a decent human being and do right by poor old Alan. Not cute.

Disappointing
14 November 2023
In the book this was a low part of her life but the series got it all wrong. The fact that Simone traveled all the way to Thailand in the book and Daisy had left without even saying was such a strong statement about her mental state. The series got this very wrong. Not to talk about the Irish guy instead of the Italian, the lack of enabling from Nicky's side, and the unnecessary presence of Simone and her girlfriend.

Yes, there was the seed being planted for emotional abuse but this really just didn't hit the mark.

I know sometimes a series needs so stretch out the storyline but I thing this could have went into a much better direction.

Good idea but sketchy in places
24 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The idea is cool but there's a few things that just don't sit right or needed more development.

One thing that really grated on me was the river scene in the penultimate episode, it looked like really amateur green screening.

Overall a watchable series but some of the dialogue and effects let it down.

The film wasn't all that...good
21 September 2021
I'm someone who loved these 90s and 00s teen movies and will happy rewatch them now. I thought it was cool that they were bringing She's All That into 2021 but this was just awful. It was cringey but not cute cringey...uncomfortable cringey.

The acting was really flat and characters were just not likeable.

Good acting, storyline not so much.
17 September 2021
James McAvoy was fantastic as always but I was left asking a few questions in the end. Aspects of the plot were only hinted at but not explored properly.

The acting is cringe
26 June 2021
The acting is so cringe, some of scenes are literally hard to watch. There are some major stupid aspects of the script too like an FBI agent casually dropping by a safe house on a date. The storyline has potential but the acting and the production is just awful.

It is what it is and it does it well.

Perhaps it's because it is the first movie I've seen in the cinema in over a year but I really enjoyed it. You know what you are getting with a Jason Statham movie and this offers up all the usual action. Definitely a nice one to watch on a big screen.

Definitely one of the better ones
17 April 2021
This episode was very good. The set up for a lot of the others seems a little too forced but the acting and special effects in this episode would have had me terrified. The concept was definitely more elaborate. More like this!

Selling Sunset's Cheap Knock Off
28 October 2020
Oh this was awful. 3rd episode in and I can't watch anymore. There's nothing likable about this show. I really enjoyed Selling Sunset but this doesn't compare.

Hole in theory
22 October 2020
The daughter thinks her mom was abducted, dumped in the river in Detroit and then the abductors drove her car back to the church. However, her keys were in her coat pocket when they recovered the body so they couldn't have driven it back and locked it.

I wanted to like this
4 October 2020
I really wanted to like this show. I mean the concept is great and I was ready to pick up some great tips. I wanted to like it so much, that I actually made two attempts at watching it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. Too much fan-girling. Too much OMGs. I just really could not get past how annoying the "editors" were.

Perhaps I'm a Sceptic
4 July 2020
Perhaps I'm a sceptic but this episode just didn't do it for me and seemed some what out of place with the rest of the series so far.

Very sad episode
4 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was really sad. Some have said there was no mystery to it but I don't agree. What was the call about? How did he end up making that hole in the roof so far out from the ledge? Why were his phone and glasses still intact? Then what was that note about?

Creeped out
4 July 2020
I was completely creeped out by the lady's husband. The way he acted with her remains did not seem normal to me at all and his attitude towards her son was just cruel.

Very good episode
4 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First off, I'm literally cringing for the people complaining about the subtitles and the French people not speaking English. This episode was so sad and mysterious. They gave his motive as being related to money but is that strong enough reason to commit such a horrible, meticulously planned crime?

Beautiful Concept
3 May 2020
I've read some reviews slamming the series for being fictional instead of focusing on the reality of what Hollywood was like. But the beauty is in the fiction. If only we would have learned sooner to be brave and accepting of others. With the background of the war ending, there was a scene in the series about how during the war they taught for freedom but people were not allowed to be free. It is such a shame that the idea of being free was not carried forward sooner. This series is a beautiful tribute to everyone who has not been excepted in life because of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. If more people were accepting of others, what a beautiful world it would be. An inspirational message in this series that I hope people can see. What a truly heart-warming series this was.
