Ghost Team One (2013)
Better than you think.
This review and rating are in defense of this film. I was thoroughly entertained throughout, which is a whole lot more than I can say for most of the garbage I watch. It wasn't too long, never takes itself too seriously, has a couple decent scares that should make some "horror" movies ashamed of themselves, and made me laugh OUT LOUD, which a lot of "comedies" can't do. Please, just keep an open mind and enjoy this for what it is: pure entertainment.
Cobra Kai (2018)
INCREDIBLE
I don't even know where to start. WATCH IT. I beg you. The writing, the acting, the stunts, everything. This show is everything you hope it will be and then some.
You're Next (2011)
Fantastic.
This was so refreshing, and it's sad I didn't know about it earlier. Super entertaining and different. This was the diamond in the rough I'm always looking for. Absolutely loved this movie. From a massive horror fan.
The Deeper You Dig (2019)
Boring
1) It's boring.
2) It's trying WAY too hard.
3) It could have been a 30 minute short and nothing would have been lost.
4) The ending is awful, and pointless.
Irresistible (2020)
Great cast... And that's about it.
I like Jon Stewart, but he's obviously distantly out of touch with flyover America. Other than requiring a massive suspension of disbelief, it's a sweet film and I understand what he was trying to do overall. But the treatment of rural America was outdated and felt like something from Doc Hollywood; the party scene might as well have been from Crocodile Dundee; the problem is that those were original and funny. As has already been pointed out, there are massive plot holes, but the political and media establishments are parodied here, which is good and I'm all for it. But the overall story is basically absurd and the movie is, frankly, not funny. I'm pretty sure that wasn't intentional (please detect the sarcasm), and it's in spite of its incredible cast. Being neither a republican nor democrat myself, I hope Stewart keeps on this track and doesn't inject his personal politics into future projects, perhaps with more effectiveness than this piece. I just feel like being a multi-multi-millionaire and having been so entrenched in the Hollywood/D.C. machines for so long have skewed his perspectives and he may have trouble relating to most Americans. Four stars for the performers.
