The Other Side of the Wind (2018)
Unwatchable Mess
This is very hard to watch mostly due to the extreme amounts of cuts. Some scenes had 40 - 50 cuts per minute and constant camera perspective switches, which can a be powerful tool if used properly, but can be very exhausting if used too much. It's like pushing all buttons at once, which sounds like a smart and powerful idea, but usually gets boring and exhausting very fast.
The plot itself is actually a very linear, simple story about a director who is past his prime and, his ideas are depleted and outdated. A nihilistic movie, that sounded good as an idea maybe when Orson was drunk and fumbling is then girlfriends Oja Kadars boobs. Not only is this very hard to watch but also outdated, irrelevant, non inspiring, disconnected, superficial and unsatisfactory.
The Batman (2022)
A fresh pair of trashcans
Pattinson is no batman, he will never be Batman. During the whole movie, you can feel that even Pattinson himself felt deep down inside he is no batman character. You could see and feel it.
Zoe Kravitz' performance as catwoman is on the level of an elementary school play. She was the worst catwoman I have ever seen.
There was ZERO chemistry between both actors and the forced romance felt fake and shallow.
The pacing is way too slow to keep you engaged. The plot is so boring, you could easily watch another video on your phone to keep yourself entertained.
They tried to stretch this dumptser fire out to a 3 hour artsy fartsy emo movie at which they epicly failed. Easily the worst Batman movie.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022)
This is not a Hotel Transylvania Movie
Loved the first 3 movies, but this is just like a cheap copy of the originals. The animation looks much worse and less detailed, the plot is a bad joke stretched out to 90 minutes, all the characters we love, just feel like they have no soul and are just place holders for the originals. Everything that made the previous movies magic, was removed and ultimately making this the worst movie in this series.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
I'm thinking of turning this off
A snowstorm,... we are in a car, and I'm talking random stuff to my self entitled, overacting girlfriend for 30 minutes.....Suddenly an Inner dialogue!........" I'm thinking of turning this movie off! ". That's exactly what happened.
Hunter Gatherer (2016)
Best Movie of 2016
If you like good movies, great acting this is the movie for you.
Glossary of Broken Dreams (2018)
Imagine you have no Imagination
Imagine you have no creativity or talents, but you have a huge ego. Then imagine that you try to explain a world, that you don't understand yourself, by putting together fragments and clusters of nonsense and selling that as art or a documentary. That is exactly what this "Glossary of Broken Dream" is.
This "glossary" has no information to provide, only pseudo intellectual sketches, empty phrases, and bad attempt at explaining our world with the mind of a hamster on drugs. This is a piece of rubbish that everyone should avoid.
Anomalisa (2015)
Another Introspection Into Kaufmanns Depressive Mind
After Synecdouche New York, his last super depressing movie, Charlie Kaufmann surprises us with an even more dull and depressive movie experience. This movie portrays primarily Mr.Kaufmann himself, a man with an empty depressing life, having sex with random people just to suppress feelings of meaninglessness, if you have watched Synecdouche New York you basically know the whole story ahead, because its almost the same, just a more linear story and a bit more boring. Again Kaufmann manages to show to us, the most miserable side of life, he is basically the opposite of a Federico Fellini, who would always put a glimpse of hope and love in his movies, even though the story might have been sad or demoralizing. The movie focuses only on the bad aspects of life and does not even manage to explore them fully , just scratching the surface of this complex subject, it is essentially putting the spotlight on all the Yin and cutting out the Yang, but like i stated earlier, its not even doing a good job at that. Don't watch this if you are already depressed, because you will feel even more empty after watching this.
Clear History (2013)
Maybe The Worst Movie Ever Made
I have seen many bad movies, but this one might be the worst. I am only going to describe the first scenes to explain my point.
1st scene: Old man with (obvious) fake long hair and fake beard drives in a Porsche, listening to a song. He is pulled over by the police, who thinks he is drunk. But he is not. That is the 1st "joke" we are presented with, which is not funny, not even remotely. What is funny about a policeman thinking hes drunk but hes sober? Nothing.
2nd scene: He is in his office now where he tells a nice Hispanic lady (hidden racism), that she should shampoo her hair more than once a week, because it smells. Thats the joke...he even repeats that sentence: " Twice a week---shampoo, you know?".he shampoos his hair every day. Now that is not funny or anything that is just stupid. In real life this old man has NO HAIR, but he is giving her advice about shampooing. Every Dermatologist will tell you if you shampoo you hair too much it will fall out. I could go on and on but this review would be too long.
In summary this is the UNfunniest most boring and utterly stupid movie anyone has ever made.
Now You See Me (2013)
Very Bad and boring
This movie will disappoint you from the beginning to the end. The characters are random and flat, nothing about them is explained in detail. You are expected to love each character from the beginning, although its never really explained, who or what they are. The story itself has no realistic elements, i mean 4 magicians robbing a bank and the police (1 single man from CIA) cant solve the case. Oh wait and we have Morgan Freeman, playing God or something as usual, doing his thing ( getting Cash). The rest is the usual Hollywood plastic, boobs, and a story with a simple twist at the end. Everyone seems entertained, since people don't seem to expect much from movies nowadays. Its a good example of how stupid and dumb movies are getting, just as dumb as the people who like such movies.
Super (2010)
Empty movie for empty people
Actually it was a nice idea, to make up a superhero that has no superpowers and is a normal person just like Kick Ass or similar movies.
But this movie failed on so many levels. I am too lazy to point out all the dull details like how he becomes a superhero. The whole story is written "super" clumsy, the actors are OK, and thats about it. The main problem is the whole emptiness of this movie. It has NO message whatsoever and just like my review here, none of the scenes are connected to each other. Its like every 5 minutes the writer had a whole new idea, but it just didn't fit in the plot. But hey ....just put all those scenes together, and you have "Super". Its like a long depressive story with a "Super" depressing end.
Lefty (1982)
Excellent!
This must be one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. A German camera team goes to New York in the 70s to explore the life of gang members. This is shot during a hot summer in Brooklyn and the Bronx. And the camera team manages to get inside of these gangs and shows in a real and authentic way how these young people lived. Its truly a masterpiece since it manages to show what people especially minorities were thinking at that time. It shows everything so detailed and exact, it really feels like a time travel to the 70s in New York. Too bad there is no DVD or anything available. I recommend this to anyone who wants to see a good ducumentary.
Idiocracy (2006)
A Masterpiece of Comedy
Idiocracy was really one of these movies that you remember after seeing it for a long time. The actors were very well picked the story is really enjoyable and the directing is fantastic. I mean this is just how comedies should be. Really one of the best scenes I've ever seen in a movie. Some people voted this movie down because of their own lack of intelligence and the fear they might be one of these dumb people portrayed in this movie. Presindent Camacho alone is worth seeing this movie. I mean tell me another movie where you've seen a President as cool as this! Just so many great ideas packed in this movie! Just really worth seeing it! This movie really got electrolytes.
Inception (2010)
Christopher Nolan can make me sleepy like no other director
Wow! Another super overrated movie from the guy who brought us the Dark Knight. And of course its totally overrated. After watching like 5 minutes you can tell this movie is going to be awfully boring. The story may be interesting and the effects up to date but the movie is still not worth a watch. How can this have so many good reviews and an average rating of 9,1?? Were we watching the same movie? Leonardo di Caprio playing himself as usual, Christopher Nolan directing like somebody with an IQ of 2 and the rest is Hollywood plastic. So whoever has some brain in his head should be wondering how someone can possible enjoy such a boring movie.
Synecdoche, New York (2008)
Please Don't Do it, Please.
As a Fan of the Director Kaufmann and especially the Actor Seymour Hoffmann i was expecting a lot, but what was that? A movie you get depressions after having seen it. A guy, just being alone (while he is having sex with random people), having one bad day after another while the world around him is dying. Kaufmanns way of saying "Lifes a bitch, then you die", i guess. But what was lacking in the whole movie, was some kind of warmth, hope or Love!. Depressing from beginning to end. And here is why I really hated it: The worst thing about the movie was that Charlie Kaufmann tried to create some kind Fellini mystical moods , that feeling only a inspiring Artist and Director like Frederico Fellini could create, and thats where Kaufmann totally failed. The one thing Fellini always had in his movies was to give people hope or love even when it was a desperate or dramatic story. Thats what Kaufmann never considered , and it makes the movie empty with all its good acting and his 21 Million Dollars they spent on this film. So 2 hours of watching this makes you feel really empty and depressed.
